About this business

Spicy Southwest flavors is our passion for great Mexican food. Despite having a deep love for the cuisine, simply cooking and eating it wasn't enough for us, all we wanted to do was share our food. Acapulco Joe's was established out of a desire to share. Since opening more than 50 years ago, we striven to bring the best of Mexican cuisine to all those who have been willing to try it. That's why we're Indianapolis' first Mexican Restaurant, we wanted to expose the north to the cuisine of the South. Within Mexican cuisine, we ... read more

The beef chimichanga was awful. It was filled with Hormel canned chili. The chips and salsa were fresh. The service was very good.

This place honestly feels like it is going down hill. The chips taste like they were fried in really old oil when they used to be really good! The food quality seems lacking too. Also the raised the price on the fajitas and don't give you rice and refried beans and cheese, guacamole, tomatoes and sour cream, it's either or now. In the last year or so I've been in 3 times when usually I came once a month because it's just not as good. I really hope they turn it around as this is one of my favorite restaurants.

First time there..Two waitresses were too busy fighting that they evidently forgot to put our order in. An hour and a half later we got our food (which was good) but Very disappointing.

Food was good, cheese was excellent as always! Waitress needs to stick around long enough to hear the customers requests. It took 15 minutes to get our drinks and when we asked for more hot sauce and oil for our party of eight she acted like one was enough and it was a problem!

Took my son there last night for his 20th birthday. There were six of us and unfortunately none of us were impressed. I had been there one time years ago and hoped that for being in business so long you'd have good food but not so much. Service was good! Was hoping for a good meal out but the food was nothing to speak of.

It's not even close to a Mexican Flavor. Putting a lot of cheese in a taco does not make it a good taco. The guacamole I believe is out of a can, not good at all. The beans and rice only 1 spoon, not good.
