Scheduled a standard maintenance of a working garage door .. *** arrives start working on it very pleasant man . But 15 minutes later I was informed that both springs and bearings need to be replaced so $150 job turned into a $1400 job .. they also did not tell me upfront that they do not deal with seers craftsman remote control or receiver . $1400 later I got the pleasure of now plowing through a manual to figure out how to do this .. classic switch in bait. . these guys need to advertise upfront which models and makes they... read more

Horrible business ethic. They salesperson was tricky he really made me believe he was ONLY doing repairs/replacements for items necessary. This was NOT the case (as per professional advice/appraisal from another garage door company helping me with another door). This company tried to refund me a couple hundred dollars, but I was overcharged by much, much more. I have emails back and forth explaining overcharges, INFLATED pricing, sneaky sales tactics, etc. Just to be nickel-and-dimed a small refund?!? BAD BUSINESS.

One star is too generous. This company gave me a bid for over $10,000 to replace my garage door and opener. This was not a door with glass or custom woodwork or solid gold hinges. It was a regular 2-car garage door. When I asked them to justify the price, they told me that the door cost them over $7000 to purchase. They will scam you if they can get away with it. Beware of this company!

we ordered a garage door in June of 2022...a salesman came out and took measurements and said they required half down before they started. He told me the door would be in the first week in September 2022 and they would be out to install it. Around the first of September, they sent me a text telling me to move everything back in my garage so they could install. I requested a total cost estimate before agreeing to replace my garage door opener, The Service Tech gave me a price I believed was reasonable and authorized him to complete the service. On completing the opener replacement he then tells me that the door spring has to be replaced at a cost of approx. $800.00, plus additional costs for the rollers and weather stripping. Had work done yesterday and was amazed by something I haven't experienced in a long time customer **********************. ********************************* and trainee *************** were so great to work with. Polite, knowledgeable and efficient. Got the job done and explained things very well. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend A1 Garage Door Service at all. ************** ********* **

Bait, Switch, and try to hard-sell you. I used a valpak coupon to schedule a tune-up at a discounted rate. Was also charged a "trip charge" which is NOT mentioned on the valpak ad/coupon. Was encouraged to do the upgraded service to include replacement of the rollers, which I agreed to, but now realize I probably didn't even need that. If you like to spend a lot of extra money A1 is who you should call. There people are well trained sales people.2 new gararge door springs almost $800 with 5 year warranty, catch is after 30 days you pay $165 labor and a $39 trip charge.. if I wasn't in a bind I would not have hired them.Tried to sell me new bearings even tho threw my past experience with bearing I new they were absolutely fine.

Simply needed a spring replaced. $1500 later, and the door is bowing out and due to the tech over spraying of silicone spray. The paint is now damaged. The tech was supposed to have met me at 7pm this evening. (09/01/22) No call no show. I left a voicemail with the tech and company in ***. I have a feeling I will need to get a lawyer involved. Time will tell!
