I had to pay in full - They first told me 6 months ended up being 9 months to get the door. When it arrived it was the wrong one installed. This company is horrible. They said if I cancel - they keep my deposit. I am at their mercy. Now Im waiting for gif knows how long for the correct door.

Business response:

As of 3/15/22 **** (Door Procurement Manager) called customer and keep her in the loop on waiting for ETA and he would escalate the block crack that was caused during installation of door and will escalate to Install Manager. I've also sent an email to ***** (install Manager) and **** making sure this doesn't fall through the cracks. We completed a site check on 3/17/22 regarding the crack in her brick.

We hired A1 to help us out in a jam - literally, our garage door spring broke and we couldn't open the door! They credited the repair towards a new door, which we ordered and they recently installed. It is beautiful, quiet, and such a wonderful upgrade for our home. **** and ****** did a wonderful job with the installation and were quick and courteous. They explained everything they were doing and ran us through the function afterwards. My husband and I were very impressed and the new door has made our house feel brand new. ... read more

Business response:

Be suspicious of a business that runs a continual large ad offering a discounted service. The garage door opener system installation they did for me ended up costing a couple of hundred dollars more than the advertised price. Midway through the installation the technician said I needed some sort of bracing bar and other components, which cost extra. A few months later, the door failed to open. A1, rather than standing by its installation charged me an addition $75 to fix the problem. There was nothing of the ordinary in this... read more

Don't use this company they are not honest with their customers. I set up an appointment to have maintenance done. I told the customer ********************** representative when I set up the appointment that I wanted my springs tightened . The technition came out and I told him the same thing .he then told me that they don't tighten springs they only replace them because it's to dangerous and they could break and torsion spring never need to be tightened.I was quoted ******for new springs with life time warranty then told I ... read more

I had their Tech out today 10/25/2021. He was very knowledgeable, and knew his stuff. I had a door opener, that I had since new 2007. It had never been touched. I new the electric panel was toast. Now that was it, but no.! Since he knew his stuff, and was not giving me the hard sell. I had him re build the springs, and some other updates. He did a very clean job, and did it in a very timely manor. I asked him to be sure and place stickers on the door, so I would know who to call in anouther13 years. He said it was A-1s polic... read more

Caution! $$$I asked for a ballpark price over the phone and they said a technician would have to come out and assess the job first before quoting a price. The service technician was very nice and knowledgeable. I was quoted a $936 to replace two torsion springs with a lifetime warranty and a reinforcement bracket, but was told it might be more if they find any problems with any of the other mechanical parts. This price was also discounted with their $75 on line coupon. I felt like this was a little high in price so I cancell... read more

Do yourself a favor and get a 2nd quote. I didn't and it cost me 4 times what it should have to replace my garage door springs. When they quoted the replacement cost for the repair it seemed very high. But, with the current Covid19 supply problems I assumed they were competitive with the other garage door companies. To my regret I was very wrong. It's my own fault for approving the work before getting a 2nd quote.

I had a very noisy garage door. I know they worked very hardcharging me for what I call updates. Needless to say, the garage door still makes noise. The remark was made that it sounds better than it was. I am an old woman and somehow I feel taken.

Our garage springs broke. We called A1. They seemed really nice until we got the price tag. We paid over $1,500 for springs and talked into new bearings, cables. etc. Now my garage opens worse. Nothing like getting screwed on price and service!
