Piece broke on the garage motor---A1 came out and started with a big sales pitch and a 29 point inspection and told us that the springs are shot, the motor is broken and that the only option is a $2800 full spring repair with a fancy new motor. Of course, I looked up our motor which cost under $200 and asked why we can't have one in that price range. I would not do business with A1 Garage Door. They quote one repair and upsell another. We put an $8,000 down payment on new garage doors but then canceled the order within the 3-day period. The check was cashed on July 7 2022 and still have not gotten a refund, and today's date is Aug. 9. Every time I called the company, I got a different story. They are very slow on returning your money if they return it at all. This company has terrible customer ********************** and does not treat customers with respect!

Had an appointment for Tune-up. I was informed after they got there that an addional trip fee would be charged in addition to the price I was quoted when I set the appointment. Told them to leave my home. Felt like I was being scamed.

I M VERY PLEASED WITH A1 GARAGE DOOR, ESPECIALLY ***********************. MY DOOR SPRING BROKE AND THEY FIXED IT THE NEXT DAY. ***** IS VERY GOOD TECHNICIAN AND EXPLAIN SO I COULD UNDERSTAND JUST WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE.

There ads are annoying, we had a broken spring. Yes they have a 24 hours operator MAYBE. When I called they couldn't schedule my repair for a couple of weeks. So much for 24 hour service. I called one of their competitors and they were out the next morning. So A1 is off my list of places to call. Advertising 24 hours service is misleading. Now the spring that broke was one A1 installed originally with the door. Broke was too soon.

Ordered and paid over 1/2 for the service and install on 3/222/2022 as of today Aug 1,2022. Still waiting on door. When I called last week was told should have a appointment to install by this Wednesday the 3rd of Aug. I called this morning they had to contact someone else in the system to find out. I feel like I am just getting a run around and no door.

Called A-1 to have a broken spring replaced. when the tech showed up he quoted ****** to replace the spring. When I looked up the cost of the spring it was ****** so I questioned the tech. He said he could knock the labor off which brought it down to ******. I said no but he insisted on a ***** inspection that reveled a bunch of made up problems. I really can't recommend this company in the slightest! The installer **** was friendly but the company prices and tactics most definitely are NOT!TLDNR? $890 for 2 springs, center bearing and zero warranty.I had a broken spring on a 20yo house which is expected at that age. The first quote from A1 was near $1600. Once I stopped choking I was offered a "cheaper 2yr warranty" spring set (2) and center bearing for $890 which is still insanely expensive! I had the garage door on one of our properties crooked and out of rail. I appreciate that A1 sent a tech immediately since I had to get this door fixed. They first quoted me $440 for putting the door back in its place and then quoted me for some other repairs (springs, drum, bearings, etc). When I look at the material they have used they marked up everything sometime more than 10x.
