2 in 1 What I mean by that is my installer was a break-in and a hero. Let me explain that. Day of installation I took half a day vacation. My window time slot for install was between 1pm to 6pm. So while at work yet (about 10:30am) I get a text message from the installer saying he is at my house. I know that he cannot enter to start work as I'm sure he wanted to. They tried to force us into buying a full new garage door system despite only 1 piece being broken. They were at our house for 3 hours and charged us $300 only to leave the door broken because we did not buy a new door. A1 gave us a quote of $3100 to replace the 1 piece that was broken. A local company charged us $250 to replace the same part. Very dissatisfied with the attempt to force us into a purchase that was unnecessary and significantly more expensive than the competition. Wayyyyy overpriced Price shouldve included a door!Would not recommend Over priced!
Absolutely horrible been allmost 3 months since they started still not complete they have sent the same tec to my house twice who has done the work incorrectly and they have had to have someone fix it then today the tec just never showed up todo the job at the scheduled time. ??????
The door installation was started in September of 2022, it is now March 2023, and the project has yet to be completed. The installations should have taken a couple of days to complete (4 garage doors), but it turned out they did not have the correct materials or parts to complete the job...plus 2 of the panels were damaged. In subequent reschedules, it turn out they continued to not know what was needed to completed the job, and thus did not have the material or parts necessary...this occurred several times. Well, not only we were unhappy a year ago (we also filed a complaint about this) when the service tech came and scam ** into a "0% interest finance": after the approval, we just realized that the interest was 22%, so we decided to payoff right away instead. Anyway, a year later this company is now demanding a remaining balance of the same amount we actual paid. I hired A1 Garage Door to replace 2 springs. It was over $900 for 2 mid range 5 yr springs which is crazy high. I complained to their manager and he agreed to refund $100 to me. That was the end of November. They lied and said it was sent but it wasn't. Literally 25 calls later still nothing. Today I was told their system to cut checks is down....for 2 months? Simply a bad company to do business with. Find another garage door repair company.
I asked them to do a service which they advertise for $129 which included replacing the rubber at the base or new rollers. They ended up replacing the motor and did no servicing. but had numerous extra charges. Their interest is to do as much upselling as possible and as little work. The one thing they did point out was that the springs were showing signs that they may break sometime, which they did yesterday so I could not open the door and go out.I called them and told them the springs needed to be replaced.The technician ... read more
Scheduled a standard maintenance of a working garage door .. *** arrives start working on it very pleasant man . But 15 minutes later I was informed that both springs and bearings need to be replaced so $150 job turned into a $1400 job .. they also did not tell me upfront that they do not deal with seers craftsman remote control or receiver . $1400 later I got the pleasure of now plowing through a manual to figure out how to do this .. classic switch in bait. . these guys need to advertise upfront which models and makes they... read more
