My wife and I had our gym membership with 24 hour fitness, canceled during the Covid19 pandemic. We didn't want it to be closed but they said that's what we had to do we couldn't suspend our payments. We have tried to return to the club but it's become to expensive. I'm 61 years old and I needed the gym to stay active, but they don't care as long as they can get more money out of people.

I got really bad experience with 24 hours fitness. The location I went to is located in *************** with the zipcode: *****. I signed up the membership with 24 hours fitness in 02/12/2022. And it's a monthly payment, I can cancel any time. The gym member clearly told me that as long as I cancel before 04/11, I wont get charged for the annual fee and I won't be charged for the third month and so on. This is not a gym to go to.I went to this gym because it closed later than other gyms in the area. I arrived at 8:45pm on Sunday evening 3/27/22 and came back to around 9:30pm only to realize my vehicle had got broken into. Several other vehicles were also broken into and I immediately went back inside to notify the staff and call the authorities. I'm currently looking at replacing this gym entirely or even cancelling my membership. Last night, 02/22/22 I was checking in to this club (******* Gateway) and I needed to use the restroom. As I approach the restroom I notice that it is blocked with red tape and a sign that says "janitor on duty." I go to the front desk and ask how long will it take for the janitor to finish cleaning the restroom. I am also going to file a formal complaint but I wanted to leave a review. The 24 hour fitness in Hawthorne is the worst of all the 24 hours I've been too. I have been a member for 14 years and it has gotten out of hand. The staff is rude but that's not my issue. My issue is the equipment stays broken. I made appts while covid was extreme and the steam room was broken. My husband and his friends were totally embarrassed today at the valley stream location. I had open heart surgery and came into the office before my surgery to change the name and info on the account to his. Everything was fine and he was checking in as usual. This morning he is stopped and told its not in his name he is a ***** and cant go without me. So he and his friends were forced to stand and be humiliated. I was recently laid off from 24 Hour Fitness which I fine very interesting considering they just got a bail out by filing bankruptcy. I absolutely loved my job and loved everyone at the 24 hour fitness I worked for. But since the *** wanted a bigger bonus he fired 110 facility techs without Prior notice. He is the biggest pos in the business and doesnt care about anyone but himself. When you pay 9k a month for a cleaning crew to be there 20 mins a night yeah you will lose money. I hate when companies false advertise and have horrible customer service. Maybe it's because a **************** Manager that it is my pet peeve. 24 Hour Fitness 24 Hour Fitness Don't believe anything they say here. They refused my 3 day pass thatthey offer online because of changes to pricing. Horrible customer service. They absolutely took advantage of my autistic daughter, I went in there to buy her a birthday present of physical fitness and personal training, I did not want to leave my credit card of which they basically insisted, and then they continue to charge my card in the excess of $3000. The general manager then said well she was able to drive and come in here so therefore she was smart enough to cancel I was a ****** at his comment, he definitely tried to reel that one back in.
