TLDR: They never showed up the day of our scheduled move, and offered not help or solution.Just wanted to drop a note in here incase it helps someone else out down the road. Not normally a big reviewer, but we had such a terrible experience I hope my review might save someone else avoid the headache.I booked a moving container and movers 4+ months in advance. This company SUCKS! Cant reach anybody to help and when you finally get ahold of someone they dont know anything. They lost my pod. It took three days past the day it was supposed to be delivered. They expect you yo put your life on hold until they figure it out. I hate this company. They dont keep their promises of what time to pick up or deliver. You are expected to wait and wait and wait day after day. My advice go somewhere else.

1-800-PACK-RAT Worst container service out there. Do yourself a favor and pay a few extra dollars and use PODS ********************************************** Pack Rat has a recording of a phone call about the date they were supposed to pick up my unit, they picked it up a day early meaning, I could not load the last of my stuff in it mostly my refrigerator. We requested next day pick-up of our shipping container to make sure it arrived in *********** by a certain date. We were told they would pick-up the next morning, but then got no confirmation call the day before. We tried to call and confirm morning pick-up and were told (after we already had the shipping container in our driveway) that the delivery window was ALL day and they could come any time from 9am to 10pm, but we would get a call an hour before pick-up. Avoid Packrat containers moving company. Move will not occur without delays, extra costs and extraordinary wait times (45 min per phone call). They were the middle priced one (zippy line(same company), pods) , and (drop off, pick up, delivery and empty pick up) dates were arranged one month out. All phone calls are routed through very nice people at home in the south with no information. They even say that they have warehouse manager contact info and nothing else. I recently had the misfortune of hiring 1800-PackRat for my move, and I cannot stress enough how appalling their service was. From start to finish, they managed to make what should have been a simple moving process an absolute nightmare. Don't call them! Their prices are on the high end, they won't deliver or pick up on time, they don't communicate with you when they fail to deliver/pickup (no call, no email), and the compensation they offer per day of failed service is paltry compared to the cost ($50/day compared to a $4K total cost). Expect multiple day delays on each drop-off, pick up, travel across country, drop off at new location, and final pickup. They are the worst! Paid extra for an AM delivery. It did not show in the AM so I called was assured the driver was going to call me and they graciously gave me the extra for the AM delivery back. Well called again and they are not even coming at all. So here sits all my items in the pouring rain! They do NOT care that I took off work and waited and hired people to move these items so they could be placed into the container as soon as it arrived. They told me to go put a tarp over it. They had my phone number they NEVER call... read more

This company is a nightmare to work with. Hold times for customer service are so bad you have to request a callback which can be up to 3 hours. And when you finally talk to someone (eight times) I've been repeatedly LIED to. If you log a message online there is never a response. The last call promised pickup and offered a $50 credit... which again was a lie and an insult.The container scheduled to move on 6/8 didn't happen until 6/10. The final pickup scheduled 6/14 is still sitting in my driveway blocking the garage access ... read more
