I hired Pack-Rat to ship my belongings from ****** to *********. I had a scheduled pick up date for the full container on July 29, 2023. It was not picked up and I was not notified that it would not be picked up. I had to cancel hotel and airline reservations because of this. I had a call from Pack Rat on Monday morning July 31, 2023 and was guaranteed that my container would be picked up that afternoon. I was thoroughly displeased with my experience, as the company made mistakes frequently and was difficult to work with over customer service. They dropped off ******* at my old address with the door facing the wrong direction. Then I paid extra to reserve an AM delivery time at my new address, and the driver showed up at 7:30pm. Then they were late picking up the empty pod. Then on top of it all, I was not sent a receipt. I called to ask for one and they said it takes 2-5 business days to process a receipt. Every experience with this company was worse. When the pod was delivered in ****** was beat up, full of holes. I was told that the long-distance got the beat up ones & the local got the nice ones. They finally delivered a nice one. Then there was the delivery in PA. The 1st guy either had a broken truck or he didnt know how to operate the truck he had. He could not get it loaded off the truck & multiple times almost dumped it in the driveway. Then the guy who came to pick up the pod was just as bad. He did not give the one h... read more

Was charged over $6000 for a cross country move, however, when you figure in extra expenses....and time off work due to their lack of communication.....it may not be a good value.We were to receive our container yesterday (7/29/23),called in the morning to get a time estimate , informed it will arrive between 3-7pm. driver will call 1 hour before.I hired movers to help.It was getting to be 6:30, and no call. attempted to call PackRat numerous times, placed on the que each time. checked my account on the website, saw delivery... read more

1800packrat is untrustworth! Their driver sped into our driveway running over and killing our napping dog. The driver admittedly stated he was speeding, that he wasn't looking and the he was hugging the left side to avoid a small pot hole this resulting in the murder of our dog. my teen children had to witness this mortifying disaster and we're screaming in terror to which the driver only spewed his excuses and had to be told by our neighbor to apologize. We hired Pack-Rat to ship our stuff from ******** to **********. The pick-up drivers didn't arrive until 4 days after they said they would, so we had to scramble to get everything on the container in time for pick-up. We based our ENTIRE moving date, which was so stressful, on traveling to arrive to ********** in time for our shipping container. Horrible experience from start to finish. Ordered a pod to be delivered on 8 July with the 3 day loading option. The driver shows up that morning and says he cant park anywhere so my only option is to go find a U-Haul and he will give me FOUR HOURS to get it loaded in the cage at his facility (outside, on a black top in the middle of summer in Vegas) before he closes for the weekend. Moved from ** to ***** in Jan. 23.Company provided *********** provided 35 blankets to wrap merchandise. Upon arrival to ***** it was obvious furniture thrown into pods haphazardly without proper wrapping. Over $5000 of damage estimated which company refused to take responsibility for. Said it was due to normal shifting & that the damage was our responsibility to pay. This company is a joke!
