I used Pack-Rat to store and ship from one home to another. I will never used them again and I recommend that you use PODS. I have used them before with zero mishaps of overcharging. The number of issues in dealing with Pack-Rat was ridiculous. When they dropped off the shipping container they refused to put it where my mother instructed and blocked in my vehicle. They came back to fix it later to move the container to it's new location the driver said he was not able to pick it up due to it's placement and that branches fro... read more

Horrible service with nothing but dishonesty and deception. They do not pick up containers when scheduled for or called for with no communication with their customers. Customer service representatives are useless and tell customers what they want to hear,not what actually will happen. Horrible company, big mistake in this choice of moving company!

We had a long distance move from ******* to **** . Initially all went as planned. Our drop off was scheduled for 8/18 but we didn't receive our container till 8/21. Their reason being truck breakdowns. We spent the best part of the mornings putting everything on hold waiting for a call just to be told it would be delayed another day. We were suppose to have our empty container picked up today. It is now going on 8pm and we have not heard anything from the company. Each time I place a call I'm am put on hold for 1-2 hours. (Already in the process of filing lawsuit in small claims court) Was quoted ****, and was charged **** dollars. I asked my sales rep on 3 different occasions if the **** was the total charge with no extra charges. Of course I get lied to. I asked because I read these BBB reviews beforehand so I was very upfront on if there was extra charges. My brother used **** pack rats, and had a good experience which is why I went with them. I should have listened to these reviews

I will not submit any stars. Do not deserve any. This company is stealing peoples money. I am a senior citizen, limited budget. I was given a specific amount for rental pod. At the end of rental, they overcharged my bank account. I have contacted several times, and each time it was to be taken off. HAS NOT AND WAS NOT!!! THIEVES

I hired Pack-Rat to ship my belongings from ********** to *******, **. I had a scheduled delivery date for the full container on August 19, 2023. Wrong container was delivered with a different code than the one we loaded our stuffs. I notified the driver, and the driver admittedly confirmed it was wrongly picked up, and that he will go back to the warehouse to "grab" the correct container. Hours went by, the driver did not call back, so I called his number, just to be told that the "manager" is still looking for my container... read more

I'm absolutely DISGUSTED with PackRat! I'm trying to sell my house which is already a stressful enough project. Add on the fact that I sadly don't have the luxury of a work schedule, so I had to sacrifice two days of mine to plan on getting this PackRat container delivered and packed. I scheduled my delivery over a week and a half in advance for Saturday, August 19th 2023, and spent the entire day trying to get in contact with someone to see when I could expect the delivery. I would give NO stars if that was possible. We used two pods and still had to get a moving company to move the rest of our furniture. One shell arrived and was fine. The second one however looked like it had been tipped over then put back up right. Boxes and furniture was all over the place. The persons hired locally to unload it were astonished at how bad it looked. This unloaded told me he had 30 years in the business and he never saw a moving container packed so poorly. Their team confirmed that not enough evidence was found to support our loading crews were at fault for the damaged property during the investigation. I started my long distance move by getting quotes from several moving companies. I settled on pack rat after they assured me that they could beat any quote that I received from other companies. The quote I received was for *****. They took a 500 dollar deposit to get the container dropped off. Then charged me **** for the shipping of the container, and another 340 for storage fees.
