I am very disappointed in 1800packrats. My husband and I are moving long distance and were pricing places for our move we used pods in past but 1800packrats is who we picked for this move . We were giving a price of $3800 . We confirmed and signed we called on 15th to make sure it was set to be dropped off and changed how many days we kept it and when it was being picked up . We were told we would be getting a discount for changing dates bc it made it easier on driver but we never got any discount . Also their website says 5... read more

We moved across the continent. The move went very smoothly and everything was on schedule. Apparently a forklift had broken down at the warehouse close to our final destination. But they were able to get a forklift from a nearby warehouse and so our container was delivered within the original time frame (just not early). We confirmed with the sales associate at the outset that there would be no additional fees and that was the case. We paid what we were quoted. Everyone we dealt with was very helpful and friendly.

I recently moved from ******* to *******. The only pod-storage moving company I could find that would come into ******* was Zippy Shell, a division of 1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC. This was a two stage move requiring me to store the pods in *******, ** until my house was completed. I was told the storage was climate controlled. I hired this company for a long distance move. They were to deliver on a Friday. It didnt come no call.so I called them truck broke down. They said it would come Saturday same thing other truck broke down. Finally on Sunday it came. My closing was Wednesday morning. I loaded it then got a call that they sent wrong container. They had to move my items to another container. I wasnt happy about it, but had no choice but to agree. They threw my things intoThe container damaging many many things. I'm ready to get an attorney they still haven't delivered my grandson's things from ****** ***** to ******* Washington 3 times they put him off. Forklift problems.....

This was my very first time moving across the U.S. and/or using a shipping container versus a U-haul when moving out of a house to a new place. As a first time customer, I highly recommend using **********************! We had a tremendous/helpful/responsive sales rep, and our first delivery/pick was absolutely amazing!! The overall experience with Pack Rat was a very smooth one; Especially for such a major transition in our lives when it comes to moving! Highly recommend using this company.

Will never use this service again, totally mis lead by **** the sales person about price. Told me $3990.00 and I was charged $5100.00 very dishonest and deceiving. Will be writing more reviews on this company to warn people. No wonder this company is a two star. Wish I would have read the reviews before dealing with them. My Bad!

Booked with 1800 pack rat and my pricing continued to increase all the way until my container was delivered. Each time I spoke to customer service I asked for my total costs and each time was told something different (its on a recorded line and would love management to listen to the conversations). After my container was picked up to be shipped I received a call the day after stating current Diesel prices were up and wed have to spend an extra $300! In that money you cant ask too many questions because they have all of your ... read more

Someone from 1-800-PACK-RAT replied to my ****** review asking for order and contact info. Its not as if I can reply to their review response. Our two containers were picked up in ** on April 18. Its April 30 and they have not moved from their ***** facility. Getting a call back and update has been a nightmare. I have had one person actually call me back, but that was after multiple attempts. I was told our containers were shipping out yesterday. No surprise at all that they are still sitting in the same place today. Havent ... read more
