I used 1-800-Packrat for a move from ************ to **. Unfortunately, I was hit with massive hidden fees in the form of a repositioning charge and a diesel fuel charge.I initially spoke with the customer service **** ***** and he was super helpful - he told me that the price was all inclusive and that I wouldnt have to pay additional fees. EVERYTHING from start to finish was handled exactly how I expected it based on the guidance provided by the customer service rep when contract was made. When I booked the agreement, I was given a price of $3,110 plus $219 for a month of storage - for a total of $3329 + tax. When I repeatedly asked if there were any other hidden fees that would be added on, the sales rep assured me there were not. Blatant and illegal tactic to try scam an extra $500 out of me. There is NOTHING in the signed contract regarding a fuel up charge is diesel national average crosses a threshold. This is sent to you days later in an email down at the bottom in a nice well hidden spot. The signed contract is 11 pages long and could have easily included this. HORRIBLE!!l AVOID AVOID!! They make up rules on the fly. On moving day they came to my place with a full container. I have no idea how they brought a full unit! I incurred additional costs because I had hired individuals to load my unit. When I was ready to unload my unit, they changed the day/ date with no notice. Do yourself a favor and find another company! Theyre AWFUL and theres always a side of attitude with the incompetence.
