Soooo disappointed!!! I only tried Zoku because of the reviews, that was a mistake. I was competely disappointed. I was tired of my old look and wanted recommendations for something new but just got a version of the only "new look" I had tried in the past few years that I told the stylist about. It takes so much work to make "the look" come out nice that I hate the cut every time I blowdry my hair! AWFUL I got my hair cut here, and it was terrible. One side was completely shorter than the other and I had to return TWICE without so much as an apology to get it fixed. The first time I returned to get it fixed the owner herself cut it, she was rude and still did an awful job. I am still unsatisfied with the cut, but will never return becuase of their snobby staff. Overpriced and overated.
Not as good as you think I love blonde highlights! I went and saw the owner for a partial highlight and they lifted my base color. The lift on the base turned the hair a brassy red. The highlights which claimed to be expertly applied were not very good either. The color was almost a half an inch from my hair line with a noticeable line across the front and sides. GIANNA FOR COLOR!! I'm new to the area and heard great things about Zoku. I made an appointment with Gianna for highlights. I was greeted with a great smile and a great personality by Gianna. She makes you feel comfortable instantly. My hair was a disaster and she fixed it almost effortlessly. She made it seem so easy. They always get it right! They always get it right and a wonderful place to enhance the beauty of your hair! Great cut and great coloring too!! Not much of waiting and they give that touch, which is out of this world. Only other place for such a great cut is Manhattan
WOW!!! THANK YOU!!! Yesterday was my first trip to Zoku. I have awful, frizzy, thin.dry, damaged, over treated hair. I was dying my hair blond to hide the grays and wanted to go to my more natural warm brown color. I made an appointment with Zoe and I AM THRILLED with what she did!!! Phenomenal hair cut! Living in Summit, I was looking for that edgy, sophisticated hair salon. Having had haircuts at F. Fekkai in NYC, and other top salons, my expectation levels are high. I eyed Zoku salon for several months, and took the plunge last week. The salon staff is attentive and friendly, and I immediately got a great vibe from Dina, the receptionist, and the stylist Jackie, the first two people that I met.
