Its really such a bad company! I applied, waited 5 business days, still under review, I canceled. Thought what company needs 5 days to verify you. Then in a chat on ******* with Support i get told I got approved 2 days ago but now I cancelled and cant re-aply. I said: i never got info about this and now I cant re-apply because I decided to cancel?? Is it like you are angry that a customer decides to cancel? Member applied with a temporary license which is not accepted per member contract. Refund of fee was done as one time courtesy.

Someone called when I was doing door dash and said they were DoorDash Support. That I needed to sign up to zipcar and I didn't. And then they started to drain my bank account they are nothing but scammers

Last Saturday, I decided to renew my membership with Zipcar. After I have been approved, I checked on line for cars available in my area. I tried days ahead, even weeks ahead. There were no cars available anywhere. I called and expressed my frustration with them. They said, there is never any cars available in my area. Its always booked. So it makes it impossible for me to get a car. In short, they were not able to provide a car for me anywhere except places far from *********, **. Third time in three months the car I rented for a day of errands on a Saturday is not in place, and this time they couldnt even get a car nearby to replace. Absolutely never using them again. Completely unreliable.

The cars are okay, but they have horrible customer service. I booked a car today and cancelled my reservation before the time that would cost a cancellation fee. When I cancelled, it said the cost to cancel was 0. So then I look at my account and I was still charged for the reservation, but I was getting a refund. The refund takes 2 to 3 days and since this is the weekend, I guess I won't get my money for a few business days. I called customer service to ask why they couldn't just reverse the charge. Relatively new user to **********************. After quite a few rides, I received an email that my account was being closed due activity that was deemed disruptive. Ive reread the community agreement and all the fine print many times and still could not find out what rule I may have broken. I have been a zipcar member for ages. This year 2023my monthly membership is being taxed (zipcar explains it as operating costs). So my $50 monthly fee is $54.50. When I make a reservation I am taxed again. Im being taxed twiceis this even legal? I am curious to hear back from someone on this matter. Thanks.

Just make sure you never travel without the physical Zipcard. I was running errands, walk out of the store and all of a sudden the car is "offline," thus locked and I am unable to get in. I call customer service thinking they can unlock it remotely. They cannot. The guy said he was going to call Roadside Assistance, put me on hold and then ultimately hung up. I had to take an Uber back to my house, pick up the card, and Uber back to the store. Meanwhile, I called customer service again and asked that at the minimum could the... read more
