The worst experience with customer service. Card and app. Not only once but twice that paying a membership and Im not able to gain access to a vehicle. App didnt work or the card to access the vehicle. After being a member for over 7 years I decided to cancel my membership. Cars are filthy and the company itself is irresponsible. Would suggest using another rental company even if its more expensive.

I have been a member with Zipcar and used its car several times until I got involved in a minor accident. Then they just suspend my account and keep charging me monthly membership fees! They don't even want to guarantee that they'll refund me. And every time you email them you always get the exact same answer, which is useless. So save you some money and time and don't use this app!

I have been a member with Zipcar for years prior to this year I restarted a new membership recently in the past two months I have had two vehicles one looked like someone throw up in it and was dried like it been there for a long time and smelled terrible which i Than had to clean so I could enjoy my reservation .........ok now to my most recent one I had on December 23rd 2022 from 3:30pm to 11:30 pm I brought the car back around 9 after doing some last min Christmas shopping & went home, Now two days later on Christmas 12/2... read more

No **************** Would not recommend. They charge a whole day's fee for being 12 minutes late! That's $165 for 12 MINUTES The CSR's hold you on the line for hours and then tell you they can't help or they cut you off entirely faking like the line is breaking up.

I have been a long time user of **********************, and I guess the takeaway I have is that it is great as long as you don't encounter any problems with the car. If you have a problem, they follow up takes forever. Calling for support is like banging your head against a brick wall as you have to explain the issue again and again and again. The unlocking mechanism on the car i was using stopped working. I had groceries in the back and it was in a parking garage. It was impossible to work with them to resolve the problem a... read more

Steer clear of Zipcar.I had a Zipcar membership for years. Almost every car either reeked of cigarette smoke or was covered in pet hair. Once we found a car had a completely flat tire on pickup. Plans ruined. Last straw was a $50 "late fee" for a ********************************************************* the middle of a winter storm. No one else was around waiting for a car. Horrible experience. The zipcar my freshman in college daughter used in Northridge broke down on the way home and she had to wait over two hours at night for someone to come help her. Never use them! I would give them a zero if I could.

I booked a trip on 11/22/22. The car was in the most disgusting condition I've ever seen. The interior console and seats were covered in oil, and a shattered bottle of LUBRICANT was left inside along with trash and debris. The interior smelled rancid. Completely unusable.I immediately reported the issue to Zipcar with photos but got no response. I was stranded in a parking garage with no other options, and had to pickup my elderly parents at the airport, so I had no choice but to try and wipe down the car and use it. It took... read more

Zipcar is bait and switch operation and then won't refund registration fees. Avoid.
