The car that I reserved had no fuel in the car- in fact, the gas light went on after I drove it for 2 avenue blocks. I submitted a photo of the low fuel and had to re-route my trip to get to a gas station. In the meantime, I called customer service to make sure that I reported the severity of the issue - I waited 20 minutes before a customer service rep got on the phone. Zipcar on a slippery slope downwards. How is it possible that Zipcar operates a car without A/C in this hot summer? I have been a regular customer of ********************** since ******************************************************************************** ******** when there are hundred of cars lying fallow in *******. Because they messed up with a booking on my account. And left an overdue $2.00 fee and when I go to pay it they wont take any of my cards. No one from agents to supervisors. All they say is a specialist team with get back in 3-5 days and no one ever responds. Then I want to cancel my membership and you have to pay overdue balance . I tell them I been trying to do that to use my account. No one can get into their own system to help. Zipcar will steal your money and tell you they cant help you

If I could give less than one star I would. This company is very money hungry and doesn't take care of their customers at all. We were charged an extra $74.34 for having a car 26 minutes. We picked up the car and 6:50 and returned it at 9:56. Our original booking time was 6:30-9:30 so you can see why we're upset. The hourly price of the car was only $18.50 and we booked for 3 hours. On Monday 06/27/22, having had my financed '15 **** Focus transmission fail due to **** negligence and transmission lawsuit issues, I attempted to rent a Flexcar Kia **** to get to my cousin's funeral on the 4th of July weekend. On Jun 18, we booked a Zipcar to celebrate my girlfriend's 22nd birthday. Not only was the car super dirty (there were old receipts, ********* cartons, and even people's fingernails all over the car), but it also reeked heavily of residual cigarette smoke that made us feel sick and nauseated throughout the whole trip. But that wasn't the worst part. I was excited to try zip car especially because they made it clear how quick the application was. I submitted the application only to have to not be approved in minutes (even tho I have no tickets or accidents) it took 5+ days to get approval and I no longer needed the car.I called to get a refund and they would not refund me the application fee. And I understand running my record costs money but I only agreed to do it because they said it would be approved in minutes.By the time they approved it I didnt need the car anymore... read more

This company left us stranded as they told us to wait for a mechanic to Jumpstart the vehicle we rented. It turned out the vehicle had a bad battery and could therefore not be moved from the location. Instead of canceling our trip they told us to wait (6hours) to verify the vehicle being non operational. We had paid for the entire day only to utilize 4 hours, and be stranded the rest of the afternoon. What type of car sharing company uses bad batteries in their fleet of cars? Criminals the fuel card was not present had to pay out of pocket using my miles to borrow money for gas they credit me but then told me I would be able to extend another day as compensation jus to stall me long enough so they can charge me wit a late fee so that have to give the credit back in order to pay the late fee it's so frustrating dealing with a company where the workers have no real checks ND balances ND the guy told me it was my fault because I went through with the reservation as a pose to missing my event ND then... read more
