Average experience at higher than avg prices – Zaza offers a great atmosphere but the service has a lot to be desired for their price point. I go to mani pedis mainly for the massage and pampering and this element of their service has a lot to be desired. Very short and not very skilled. I also find them missing some key things I love about other salons (which offer better service for less money) like hot towels, warmed lotion, etc. It's just okay....but there are too many places in SF that at much better for your money.
Horrible – One of the worst nail salons in the city. I've had better treatment (cheaper too!) at hole in the wall scary places downtown. don't waste your money here...
Filed off 1/2 my pinky toe – The reviews of ZaZa were enticing: clean salon, trendy atmosphere, late hours, and sanitary tools. Nothing can make up for untrained staff. The woman who did my pedicure filed a quarter inch divot in my pinky toe with 3 good swipes. When I screamed, she said that she thought she was filing off a callous. My toe proceeded to spout red body fluid[citysearch won't let me write the B-word] and she ran to get a bandaid. Clean and nice place but the service is lacking – The nail salon is very nice and modern but the service is not the best. The manicurists are good and skilled. I like that they give you your nail buffer and filer to take home. Several times I've called to make an appointment and left on hold for over 10 minutes, when I call back they don't even apologize. nice place, but not enough to make me change favorites. – Zaza is a pretty comfortable place; lovely decor, wood floors, and cozy chairs. But, overall, it's just all right. The brow threading I had was superb and quick, which is a plus. The estheticians are all very kind and sweet and make sure to introduce themselves to you which I don't find at many places. Best nail salon I've experienced – I loved my visit to ZaZa. I enjoyed the coconut mani/pedi and I felt incredible afterwards. I was truly pampered and they made me feel like a VIP client. I was offered tea when I arrived and during my services I lounged in a comfy leather recliner. I was so relaxed that I nearly fell asleep! : ) I highly recommend visiting ZaZa, they will most definetly take care of you!
Best nail spa in SF! – This is by far the best experience I've ever had with a nail salon. They offer a great selection of nail polish colors, the technicians are very concerned with detail and the setting is incredible. The interior design of ZaZa has even inspired my own bedroom decoration. If you are looking for the best manicure in town for the best price, then this is the place for you!!
Awesome local nail apot! – Very relaxing and soothing environment. They did a great and quick job on my brazilian. The mani and pedi was the right about of pampering and speediness. Guess who found a new nail place? Me!
manis don't last – My manicure lasted 2 days, my pedi looked layered. Atmosphere was nice, but the alleged 45 minute pedicure was quicker than the manicure that took place at the same time. Wouldn't recommend unless you are in a big hurry and need a quick touchup that day.
