My experience with Dr. Marks and his entire administration and medical team was fantastic! From initial GP referral, through the diagnosis process, to pre-op consultation, surgery, and then follow-up review, the experience was top-notch in every sense. And I learned a ton along the way.
I'm very grateful to be part of the ProKnee Study. I just had my 3 year follow up and wow...I'm very pleased with the care of Dr. Marks and his team. Back to my sports with a full recovery and full range of motion from a complete tear of my ACL/MCL and partial tear of my PCL 3 year ago and now with a cool scar on my knee to prove so. Dr. Marks and his team are awesome! I have had the pleasure of having him perform both an ACL reconstruction (left knee / Jan 2006) and a scope to remove damaged tissue from a complex lateral tear to the meniscus (right knee / Sept 2008). After the ACL I was back to competitive recreational basketball after 6 months. Dr Marks removed the metal pins and wire from my knee cap and scoped my knee. The results have been amaizing, could not have gone better. Im giving Dr Marks a perfect rating because I feel he deserves it. He was really helpful and really knew what he was doing. I would recomend him to anyone.

Dr. Paul H. Marks did my acl reconstruction with a medial meniscus repair and my snowboarding career has never been stronger. I knuckled an eighty five foot jump on the glacier in whistler only 11 months after my surgery and only bruised the fat pad under my unsurgerized leg. Reconstructed knee was fine.
Dr Marks knows is stuff. He is precise, detailed and direct. He has realisitic views about the projected outcomes of surgery which helped me rationalize the decision making process about whether to go ahead with the surgery. He was a little abrubt at the first meeting when evaluating my case(he was not sure if I warranted his services kind of attitude) but I convinced him that even a slight improvement in my knee would create enormous benefits for me, even if he didn't realize this at first. Dr. Marks is awesome, as a doctor and as a person. I was pretty nervous for my surgery (ACL reconstruction) as it was my first time, but he was a really personable guy with a good sense of humour. He really knew his stuff, and immediately made me feel comfortable. The follow-up appointments seemed like 20 seconds, but he always stayed long enough to answer all my questions and my parents (which was quite a lot). Excellent surgeon. Very satisfied with ACL/meniscus repair. Off-beat, very informal sense of humour (I like it...others may not). Worth the 1.5 hour drive to see him instead of my local orthopod.
