Dr. Marks is a very competent and able surgeon. His work seems to be top notch, as I have had ACL surgery by him. I do find him to be a little full of himself, and he is quick to drop names which can be a little annoying. He also has a tendency to speak as though the patient is not in the room, while he is busy with his private jokes. However, as a specialist his knowledge and ability do seem to be top notch.
Surgery went well. Excellent recovery. Very busy man - humerous. Nurses at Sunnybrook did not provide enough information about post-op program but were friendly otherwise.
I had a Great Experience with Dr Marks, this guy is truly passionate about what he does. let me tell you, aside from the Excellent reputation, when your laying on the operating table just about to go under the General Anesthetic, and you see and hear the passion for what he does, you know you've got the right guy doing the work. I had zero pain after this surgery, my recovery time was minimal, Im sure due on a large part to his skill and that of his team. Outstanding.
Dr. Marks knows his stuff. I had a substantial tear to my meniscus and instead of trimming it he sold me on repair. Longer recovery time but worth it. My wait time for surgery was unbelievably short. Genius. Many thanks to Dr. Marks (and Lisa) Stuart Newbigging, one satisfied patient
From first introduction through to my surgery follow up, I have appreciated and enjoyed the interaction that I have had with Dr. Marks. He makes you feel at ease and comfortable by explaining the entire process/outcome as well as welcomes questions from the patient. His professionalism is very good. Overall, being a patient of Dr. Marks has been a positive experience.
Dr. Marks is the dude. He did my ACL surgery and I couldn't be happier. The recovery was quick. His follow-up very good. He does have a quirky sense of humour but who cares? His technique and professionalism are top-notch. I'd recommend him to anyone.
i had my acl done by dr. marks and i had so far an excellent recovery. i could tell from the first hand shake that he was the right guy for my knee. i was not to crazy with his secretery, she can be a little to laid back. i also had some arthritis before i went for sergery and he scraped it off and i do not feel it again. its been almost a year since sergery and ive been playing competitive sports since 5 months after surgery. he did his part from the inside and it was up to me to do my part.i worked out 4 times a day and i ... read more
