Cheese grits, black beans and fried fish are staples in any soul food restaurant, and this kitchen prepares them in the most traditional way. The owners opened the Birmingham restaurant after success with a couple of other locations in Florida, and just like in the Sunshine State, you'll find simple dishes made with simple ingredients. Open for lunch and brunch only, come and order some chicken and waffles and wash it down with a sweet tea, it doesn't get any more quintessentially Southern than this.

EVERY TIME we come to Birmingham, this is where we will eat! The food is an experience in your mouth!!!!! I'm sorry. When you see white people eating in a black owned restaurant in the south, you know it's good! No offense to anyone. I love, Love supporting black owned businesses and when they are phenomenal, it makes it all worth it. My children got a lesson in supporting a black owned, quality business with great service. We will be back. Thank you all especially Mama for talking with me and taking a picture. Love y'all!
