Helpful! I enjoyed living at Oak Hollow, later named Woodlyn on the Green, for almost 4 years in a large second-floor two-bedroom unit (B1 design). When I broke my ankle and was unable to get up the stairs, the Woodlyn management worked quickly to relocate me into a first-floor unit (B3 design) with handicap-accessible features, including a ramp into the building. I appreciate their handling of my request and am enjoying the well-landscaped space.
Cheap remodel, incompetent staff There hasn’t been a review in a year since the complex was bought out and changed management. Many residents are serving out their lease and leaving due to several current issues. They quickly remodeled the apartments with a single layer of paint and broken cabinets and power outlets. They mandated spectrum cable service or pay a utility fee mid year. They hiked rent prices for no apparent reason. The pools are rarely open during the summers. Get EVERYTHING in writing! It's no surprise that the rating for this apartment complex is so low. While they were very nice during the "sales" process when convincing me to act in good faith and sign a lease one and a half months before I actually needed the apartment, all of the agreements made with me during the time of that negotiation were false promises. 7 months into my lease, they attempted to charge me for my shelter rescue pets, which they previously agreed not to charge me for as a concession, since another apartme... read more
Poor management, poor maintenance Management is very friendly but in the end they get absolutely nothing done. They did no prevenative maintenance so things broke all the time and yes they were fixed but never well. When we were moving out we had to tell them our move out date at least 3 times before someone actually got it in the system. Don't do it !!! They had me move into an unfinished apartment with no working AC, in which they had over a month to make ready before I actually arrived to move in. Then it takes 3 weeks to finally replace the ac system and still haven't herd back on when the repairs will be done. And don't get me started on how poorly done the renovations are ... absolutely worst job I've ever seen. Do yourself a favor don't make the same mistake as i did. Find a better place.
Same old Oak Hollow A new name doesn't make this place any better. There are still fleas everywhere. The apartments are still old and infested with roaches. The apartment staff is still rude and incompetent. The appliances are still old and energy wasters. The trash is still piling up every week. The noise us still infuriating. Love it here! When I sold my home of 35 years and began looking for an apartment, I was concerned about finding a place where I would be comfortable and feel at home. Woodlyn on the Green has been a wonderful place to live. The rent is on a par with other apartments in the area, but the apartments at Woodlyn are much larger with more character and lots of storage. Rip off An apartment run by con artists. Currently offering a chance st $50 dollars off the rent for good reviews. Please don't waste your money or time. They will steal both.
Cons outweigh the pros High vaulted ceilings are nice. Maintainence is prompt most of the time and friendly. Expect your rent to increase every year at least $20- $50 when you renew (it could be more since we just got a new leasing company). Utility bills are outrageous - usually $100 each month for 1 br. This is due to poor insulation as well as the "sun room", which has no temp control - blazing hot in summer and freezing in winter. I know people who pay less for utilities in an entire house.
