This bank is not what it used to be. Recurring fraud and the bank doesn’t care. Keeps happening. After 20+ years we are moving everything. If you want your money safe, I do NOT recommend this bank.

Flat out refused to authorize payment with my funds even after I verified authenticity of charges. My money my choices. Transaction was going to my son but was questioned about his last name different than mine! Hello it’s called marriage or divorce!!! They have no right to determine my transaction

I have had a this is account as well as a personal account for 16 years at Woodforest national Bank. During this time it has been good. They've been good to me and I have stuck with them. I will leave this review for the Havelock North Carolina branch. I wrote a check this morning to one of my employees and accidentally wrote 2003 then wrote a four right over to three. this is the worst bank in the world, on several occasion have they messed up on our accounts first they put the wrong amount of money in by several thousands and admitted they messed up but instead of fixing the issue they withdrew all my money in my account and made in go negative I had to pay them for their mistake then they got my account mixed up with my mothers and they drafted my moms house payment out and rejected my truck payment when there was enough money for both they constantly lock you out of online banking and ... read more

I have been with Woodforest National Bank since about 2001 or 2002. At first, I just liked that they were open 7 days a week (that changed with COVID), and had branches pretty much everywhere. Since then, I have been pleased to have a close working relationship with David Brown in the Sherman TX branch, especially recently when he helped me tirelessly with a Zelle snafu. If I can give this Bank less than zero, I would. I was a victim through a Fake ******** Representative, and a Woodforest Bank Supervisor seen it and agreed with it. I confirmed that it wasn't me, she even gave me the phone number that was associated with the Fake ******** Representative, and it was a dispute done on both ends and a Promissory was told to me to refund my money back in my account and that they will go after them. My son is 17 and works at a Walmart Subway that has a Woodforest National Bank. One of their employees kept going to the Subway to try to get them to open an account. She came by multiple times in one day and my son finally agreed to open an account. I am disgusted with the pressure selling tactic. He is only 17 and I thought under 18 isn't allowed to legally open an account without a parent or guardian permission. He already has a bank account and he told her that but she still kept pressuring him. Is this ethical?
