If I can give this Bank less than zero, I would. I was a victim through a Fake ******** Representative, and a Woodforest Bank Supervisor seen it and agreed with it. I confirmed that it wasn't me, she even gave me the phone number that was associated with the Fake ******** Representative, and it was a dispute done on both ends and a Promissory was told to me to refund my money back in my account and that they will go after them. My son is 17 and works at a Walmart Subway that has a Woodforest National Bank. One of their employees kept going to the Subway to try to get them to open an account. She came by multiple times in one day and my son finally agreed to open an account. I am disgusted with the pressure selling tactic. He is only 17 and I thought under 18 isn't allowed to legally open an account without a parent or guardian permission. He already has a bank account and he told her that but she still kept pressuring him. Is this ethical?

Zero stars . WORST BANK EVER. They will charge you multiple times for nothing . They give you a bank card which won't work at their atms or any stores. Then they want to charge you $15 again for another card that don't work. They don't allow payments of stuff to go through when you need it but allow all fraudulent charges to go through that arent yours. Multiple problems in every area of banking. Closing accounts today. GO TO ANY OTHER BANK!!!

I've been with them for 3 months & had 4 major problems! Initially the sales rep asked for 6 months of previous processing history to set my banking profile with Woodforest, if approved. After being approved, 4 weeks later I received an email stating that my funds would be held due to my business processing too much money. Woodforest Bank without informing me shut down my account for three days now because of a mistake that they made in setting up my account. This is making me late on paying my bills they tell me that their computer did this and no one has been able to get it back on at this point. So buyer beware when you were banking with Wood Forest

I've been with Woodforest National Bank over 20 years. Zero complaints from me. I'm about to move from Texas to Detroit area and gonna have to find another bank I guess. There are no offices up there. Damn shame. Best bank I ever had the pleasure of doing business with. Jerry Grady

Woodforest is the best bank I've ever used. If I ask someone a question they don't know how to answer they get a manager to make sure I get the correct answer. The managers know banking legal terms and procedures. I've always received good to excellent service at Woodforest and I've never had a problem in the 15 years I have bank there so far. I mostly deal with and have received excellent service from Linda, Meri, Jamie, and Anna at the downtown Conroe location; everyone else there is great too.

One day I lost my debit card! Someone found it and rack up $583.00 of charges. True story! I made a claim the next day, because I couldn't cash app one of my sons. Fast Foward after investigating half of transactions it was a man. Some business mgrs. Gave me videos, some did not. I know this wasn't me, because the culprit use my debit card! Enough is enough. I've had it with Woodforest National Bank. I use to love this bank, but my recent experience with them shows their true colors. I owe back State taxes and the State sent Woodforest a Lien on my assets and instructed the bank to mail the State a check. The amount of the tax is $5,623.25. (Ouch, I know). My checking account has had very low activity for the last couple years, since I'm using another bank. I only use the Woodforest checking account to transfer amounts from another bank to pay down my loan. The... read more
