The hotel is in a lovely setting, Rooms were clean, warm. So could not fault it at all and will definitely be back again

Beautiful setting. After that it is all downhill. Never saw any member of staff. Rooms from Fawlty Towers days. No heating. No hot water. No shower. No TV. No breakfast. No double glazing. Dangerous stairs with door at top. Lights with short timers. Just miserable. Awful experience. Felt they should have paid me to stay the night not other way round!

Absolutely stay clear. No hot water.. no central heating.. ice cold rooms.. damp beds.. disgusting carpets.. staff book you in then hides until long after check out.. ignores phone calls.. obviously cant take the backlash but will happily check you in and take your money. Absolute hell hole stay clear its not worth your time.. money.. and relationship. Disgusting.

Location is nice and quiet rooms are basic but the for the accommodation cost very competitive which is great! You're only unfortunate thing winter time the heating comes on periodically and when the heating is off the room is absolutely freezing! 🥶 If you don't mind being freezing then it's great but if you do then you will suffer!

I've rated this as a five star as I believe previously this place has suffered some bad reviews. It's not a 5 star place, It's not fancy or modern. It was warm enough for me and comfortable, peaceful and a short walk to the train station. Excellent value for money, half the price of the Travelodge down the road. I will likely stay again in the future.
