Ordered a nursery rocker/recliner in May and waited 3+ months to receive it (my son arrived before the chair!!). Ever since I finally received the rocker (on sep 18), it’s been making loud creaking/cracking noise each time I rock. It’s a nursery chair, wasn’t expecting something to wake up my child each time I rock him in it!!! And How can a company charge nearly sooo much money and deliver such a ****** product!??? I would never recommend anyone purchase anything from West elm, ever! You will never receive your purchase. I have never been treated so badly by a company before. They do not care about their customers. My couch was backordered, one I bought purposefully in stock so I could have it in time to recover from a major surgery (being a mom of two young kids I needed it so I wasn't on bed rest in my room) well....it's come and gone and the couch never arrived. I will never be purchasing from this company again. I placed an order on 8/23 and my item was supposed to arrive by 9/18. During the week of 9/14, I saw that my order was never shipped, and so I called to find out what happened. Pottery Barn never notified me that my order was further delayed and would not arrive until October. I asked to cancel my order because it was delayed and no one told me. Absolutely despicable! Total fraud-bait and switch. Two months ago I ordered a sheet and towel set from West Elm. When I checked out I was then informed that the items would not be delivered for 2 months.. Despite having spent a lot of time searching for the items and placing the order I canceled the items because I didn't want to wait 2 months for delivery. I ordered an ice cream maker in June 2020 and I just got a shipping notice now in October 2020. I have not received any updates or reasons as to the status of the order since I purchased it. I have already purchased and received the item from another vender. I tried to cancel the WS order online, but the only way to cancel it is by phone. When I did cancel by phone the dial options hung up every time I pushed an option. Bad. Tried to double charge me for a $500 order, by charging separately for 2 items that totaled $345, while still holding the preauthorized $500. This is a ripoff! Had to call 3 times and wait a total time of over an hour to finally speak to an obnoxious supervisor who told me I wasn’t being “charged” twice because it had not gone through yet... This is illegal and should be prohibited. They wanted $845 for a $500 order that they had already put on hold at my bank card company. Bad business. Unfair to the customer and serio... read more

I would leave zero stars if possible. Pottery barn has the worst follow up. I spent a substantial amount of money (to me) finally being able to afford “real” furniture. I ordered a sofa, a desk chair, and a media storage console back in March of 2020. I was told the delivery window was early May it is now over six months later and I have not received my shipment or any real communication from Pottery Barn about where my order is. Ordered a rug with store pickup option, got the rug home and was never told it was the floor model, and that it was dirty... Then returned that, refund took about a week to process so they held my money hostage. Then, ordered a rug online with shipping, and website says 'Free Shipping on Orders $79+" So you could order the cheapest thing on their website and qualify for free shipping.. Anyway, 99% of websites have this automatically applied, but NO, Pottery Barn had to make it difficult by making you apply this coupon code y... read more

Horrible customer service. Ordered a couch from Pottery Barn on July 3rd. The estimated delivery date was mid-August. It's now almost mid-October with no actual delivery of the item in sight. The date just continually gets pushed. I've contacted their customer service multiple times and only receive generic responses.
