When ordering a set of knives on W-S website, it showed it was in stock and ready to ship... once ordered, it's delayed for a month... then, waiting a month, and it's showing it's delayed for another 6 weeks!. Lame company. They don't even tell you items are delayed and you have to contact and find out yourself. never buying here again.
Pottery Barn has got to be one of the worst places I’ve ever shopped when it comes to customer service. Basically, there is none. I placed an order a week before Thanksgiving for items for Christmas. I have received another notification that a delivery has been made three weeks early. I asked repeatedly for these orders to be canceled. I will never, ever order from your company again for any holiday deliveries. For the money I spent with you, and not getting what you offered and then your not effecting a cancellation that I asked for is unbelievably poor management and customer service response. I placed an order for a loveseat and sofa in September. Original date of delivery was mid November which was bumped to late November-early December. Got an email to schedule delivery. 30 minutes before the truck came, I received a call from their distribution center saying "the sofa is still on the truck" but the loveseat would be delivered. My experience with West Elm has been an unmitigated disaster. I ordered five items for an office/guest room in September. When the second item arrived 2 months later, it had the wrong pieces (one of the shelves was too small). I called customer service once per week, and each time I was assured it would arrive soon. I have never had worse customer service than in dealing with Williams Sonoma. I wish I had read the reviews before placing an order with them, thus saving myself from headaches. Listen to every other review. Ordered Le Creuset items on Oct. 21/2020 and was supposed to get an email when it was shipped. Never got the email. Called two times to check the status and finally cancelled it on Nov. 16/2020. Never got and am still waiting for my refund. I really wish I had checked the Better Business Bureau site before ordering furniture from West Elm in August 2020. We spent over $10,000 on furniture for our new home and have had nothing but problems with this company. There have been so many delivery delays, damaged pieces, miscommunication, and excuses. I ordered online [no easy feat!] and ultimately did so while a manager of the local store was on the phone with me. I then received 7 emails of which 6 were cancellations. The last email gave a reason: the item was no longer available at the store I had been using in spite of the fact that the manager had set aside the order, which was in stock, for me.
