I ordered a unicorn rocker for my daughters nursery in January 2020, she just turned 1 year old and has used it a handful of times for maximum 5 minutes at a time and the hoof fabric is pulling apart, I reached out to pottery barn and was told its normal wear and tear. For the price I expected better quality and for the item to at least last a year with the amount of use it has. It only has a couple stars because I will say my daughter enjoys the rocker regardless of the tear. I wouldn't recommend the product for the price.
Unbelievably terrible customer service. Ordered a personalized backpack through Pottery Barn Kids in July online. NEVER notified that the item was back ordered. NEVER notified of delayed shipment. Just an email with an estimated delivery date of August 13th. When I went back to that original email (on August 25th) the delivery date was changed to Sept 3rd-10th. I wish I could give negative stars for this company. I ordered a paring knife on 06/29. It said that I should be receive the item in around a week. A week later, I didn't get the item although the order tracking page said the order was on its way to UPS. Another week passed but the tracking page said the same. I called the customer service and was told that they would take care of it and I should be able to get my order in a week. Today was my first ever experience with West Elm and it was the worst to say the least. I wish I could give zero stars. Today I traveled 40min to explore the Boulder location with family and after entering, a designer (not even manager), Anastasiya, stops us and confusingly says that they MIGHT be at capacity. Quite possibly the worst customer service/company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with in my life. My fiancee and I ordered a table/bench from this company. Then the corna virus happened which caused completely understandable delays. We finally received the table and bench in March. We bought the leather Haven sectional in December 2019. By late January 2020, the middle cushion was wearing far faster than the rest of the couch. By March it looked as if the middle cushion was years old with cracks and peeled leather. I ordered a $400 dehydrator from William-sonoma. It arrived broken. I called customer service and they said: no problem, send it back and we will send you a new one. That was two months ago (I sent the defective one back the same day I called). I kept calling WS to check on when my new dehydrator would arrive and they kept changing the dates. I ordered a set of sheets on July 3. After waiting for more than a month for the item to ship, I finally received a shipping confirmation on Aug. 10, indicating that I would receive it by Aug. 13. I checked the tracking information when I did not receive that day, and discovered that it had apparently been delivered to the wrong post office. I placed an order for a custom bed frame in April and was told it would arrive between August 10-23. I have been waiting patiently since April because it was a custom order. I read reviews that West Elm’s customer service was HORRIBLE, so I was determined to be patient and hopeful. Now it is time for me to expect delivery, and I see my order was cancelled, and I was never given a notice. I am absolutely speechless.
