I ordered a back ordered desk. My money was taken out 4 weeks prior to delivery. When I called to find out the hold up, it was sitting in the warehouse the whole time. When it arrived and was put togther, I noticed it was damaged. I'm supposed to wait up to a month for a new desk at the time this one will be picked up. I have tried to call to get compensation for the damage and I will keep the desk and fix it myself. NO, they don't do that. Im guessing they also own Pottery Barn, but I had an issue with my order and customer service was absolutely terrible beyond imagined. The lady did not fix the problem like she said she would and I ended up having to call back. Just all in all, the customer service is horrible.
If I could give zero stars I would. After purchasing a table in August, several reschedules without proper notification, numerous phone calls (time is money and I spent a lot of my time of this), told I would get compensation once delivered. Delivery finally happens after yet another of my many calls, miraculously a table was ready for delivery, mind you, original delivery date was 9/30/22, Table was delivered on 1/16/23!!! This review is for Pottery Barn IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD. I purchased a nursery chair from them 11/27/22, online it stated there would be **** days for "in stock" items 12/13 estimated date. They called and reported delivery dates have been pushed out scheduled delivery for 12/17/22 took off work and no one came, called or even followed up. Why did pottery barn charge my Amex twice? I okayed one price but was soon alerted that another cost was charged. I called headquarters and was told that they charged a partial amount to see if funds were there. If you have an Amex card, its because you pay. Is this illegal? I do not like this practice and will be watching what comes across on my Amex bill.
I won't be purchasing furniture from Pottery Barn or any of it's sister companies again. They are very misleading, i purchase several pieces of furniture, items were returned due to manufacturing issues, and others were returned because they were delivered damaged. Ive had to keep an an eye on refunds because they will fail to refund you for returned items and they also won't charge accordingly for items that have been returned and replaced. I ordered a set of pots and pans on 12/8/22 which were in stock. I finally received an email that said there was something wrong with my payment (my credit card company said there was nothing wrong with my payment). Called company and was on hold for 1 hour 20 minutes (I finally hung up). I then receive an email on 12/24/22 saying that the item was delayed - estimated delivery 1/9 - 1/11. Never will shop here again. Bought new furniture for thousands of dollars. Received couch, chair and ottoman after numerous reschedules. Months later they were delivered with grease spots on all pieces of the white furniture. Made us send pictures to determine if we just needed a remedy visit. So many phone calls to the store, designer, customer service, delivery company. Kitchen chairs did not arrive in time for guests in town for my sons wedding.
