West Elm has to do better, customer service is terrible! The representatives do nothing to resolve your issue. They tell you anything to get you off the phone. I had been a loyal customer for many years, but recently their customer service has been atrocious at best! Bought a Hestan pan for our daughters birthday back in August. Fast forward to the end of October, and It still has not been delivered. I recieved a bunch of excuses and apologies, but NO satisfaction on getting the product delivered. Terrible customer service echoing other reviewers. Had a *****+ table delivered - you are not able to opt out from their "white glove" delivery service which costs over $350. The table was not assembled correctly apparently due to a manufacturing defect with one piece of the table. Getting ahold of Pottery Barn to remedy the issue has been impossible so far - endless waitlists with customer service and getting disconnected after waiting for over one hour daily. Pottery Barn -worst company ever. Ordered a duvet cover on August 9 and was told in the store that delivery wouldnt be until Oct 5. A few days before delivery date I called the company to ask why I havent gotten any information about delivery. She told me that it was furthered delayed until Nov 2. Ordered a vanity three months ago. It has been scheduled to be delivered THREE times, and each time the day before, at 3pm on the **** they have 'coincidentally' called to say the delivery is cancelled due to a 'defective' item. Yesterday, I told them to just send me the base of the product and I'll have the top (marble) shipped next. It was scheduled and has been giving me delivery updates all day. My sink vanity unit from west elm was backordered for a year. This was not known at the time of the order. The countertop part was then delivered broken 3 times. I have spent hours on the phone to get my refund with no result. At this point I cant just speak with any customer service person, I can only speak with one person, who I have to coordinate with to find time. Pottery Barn has the most abysmal customer service I have ever experienced. I ordered a $2000 table from them a little over a year ago. It takes six months to deliver me a table, which is a long time, but I get places had been having supply chain issues out of their control. The problems start when the table is delivered broken. I ask if I wait for a replacement if I will go to the "back of the line" and need to wait another 6 months, in which case I would just cancel the order and go another way. Pottery Barn has the worst online customer service! I purchased halloween items months I(August) in advance of Halloween (October) and to this day Pottery Barn continues to extend their estimated date of delivery. Now the estimated date of delivery is just a couple of weeks before Halloween. I contacted Pottery Barn customer service and all they can say is that it is a "hot item". Horrifyingly bad (and expensive) product and even worse customer service. I purchased an almost $1,200 leather office chair from Pottery Barn that I have had for 15 months now. The wheels are literally breaking apart and ball bearings are all over the floor. The chair sits at an angle. Pottery Barn told me that since the chair is over 1 year old, they won't do anything, so I need to take the chair to Furniture Medic and pay for the repairs myself...seriously.
