I live in West Texas now after living in New Mexico for 26 years. I've had two major surgeries here. An initial hip replacement Sept 2007, that broke in half less than 5 years of getting it. A defective prosthesis. I also received my hip revision surgery here April 2013. I a few months wait after it broke, but they got it done. Dr. Skelly did an amazing job. NM VA is 5 star in my eyes.
They stopped my pain medication that works and a wanted to give me something I can't take. Doctors need to treat you as a person not like cattle or number. To some it's all about the $$$$ .

I have been in the system for sometime now and have always had great care. My doctor is fantastic, I get great care. Also my care at mental health is great.
It’s a great place to work helping and assisting our Veterans.
This is one of the most depressing, unreliable, unorganized health care systems around. Things need to change and we need to really be helping our people. Disappointed as always!
