Attempted to make appt yesterday for pain associated with 10-wk old broken collar bone. I described nerve pain going down left arm, up my neck and headaches. I was told I couldn't get appt BC not a "regular" patient, hadn't been seen in last year, that I'd have to reestablish patient status by doing lab work and going thru classroom indoc and then, I could be seen. Geez, thought I was saving taxpayers money by not going there unless I'll or injured ! Thought even maybe my 20-years of service "established" my patient status !... read more
Is Doctors here at the Albuquerque VA are phenomenal they are taking such good care of my husband and I am so blessed
Had my semi annual appointment with Dr. Price. Shout out for her. First PC that has taken time to help me and not feel like I was a number. I thanked her for being here. She seems to care. It took going through 2 other providers but she was worth waiting for. 19kilo thanks.
Needs some serious overhaul... Waited for over 2 hours for scheduled appointments that the primary care was grossly late on in 2 separate occasions. One I had missed my other appointment afterwards and it was canceled and this last one I didn't get to see the doctor cause the facility was closing and I live over 120 miles away.
I want to congratulate the VA New Mexico for the record short time it takes them to deposit my travel pay into my account - less than a week!!! That's really something!! Also, I'm very glad to hear that "the cavalry is coming" to the ED at the Raymond G. Murphy hospital in Albuquerque. I have had some real nightmares trying to get care there and have shared them with patient advocates. That has helped.
