State Farm refused to pay a diminished value claim on my auto when their covered party ran a red light to T-bone my Honda ten days after I bought it new. When I threatened to take them to court, they effectively said, “You can sue us, but we won’t do anything about it until you sue our client too.” Imagine if you knew your insurer said this about you! That’s why I’ll never use them. (By the way, I did sue them and they spent triple in legal fees what I was requesting for my diminished value. What a business model!)
How can companies continue to operate with this many bad reviews? Obviously the better business bureau is doing nothing. These Insurance companies are not held accountable by anyone and are in bed with the government. the general public never stands a fair chance and yet are required to have insurance with these criminal companies. There is no way for the average person to go up against insurance companies, this is the biggest fleecing in American.
Terrible! Don't be fooled by the low rates, they blow it all on washed up sports stars. I've had 4 claims in the last 3 years and each time it's unbearable to deal with claims. After waiting on hold 1-2 hours each time you call, you have to start over with a new agent. They know nothing about your case And they are not skilled in customer service to say the least. On 1/07/2022 a State Farm insured plowed through a red light and hit my vehicle with myself and my three children including a 2 month old baby . State Farm deliberately ignored the information on the police report and failed to reach out to me for a statement. They found a old number on a old claim and attempted to contact me. My wife had an accident on 5/12/22 that the other driver took 100% responsibility, the other driver is insured by State Farm. Our vehicle is a Lexus NX 300 hybrid, we do not yet know if it is totaled or not. Today we found out that State Farm will only approve $27/day for a rental for us which is a Toyota Corolla type vehicle. I have been with State Farm for more than five years and never made any claim until recently when I was rear ended while stopped at the intersection waiting for the traffic light to change . Police concluded that the other driver was responsible for the accident, a State Farm customer as well. The tactics that employ to delay and deny makes me wonder how these crooks stay in business ? I've been trying to get a new roof since June 2021 from hail damage suffered in August 2020 that was well known to our entire area. Every house on my street that needed a new roof got one without a problem, including my neighbor. Entire replacement. State Farm cut me a check for less than $100 to repair shingles, which they don't even make anymore, because this is the original roof from the house being built in 2002. My partner and have State Farm fro many years and have been paying insurance to cover our home and two vehicles. Unfotunally my partner had a hit and run accident, where the order driver left the scene of the accident, had not insurance etc. We filed a claim, our case representative Lauren B***** has been the worse in handling the situation.
