Fun Place Just a little hard to get a drink – Overall An above average bar, Fun and very nicely decorated. The only flaw w/ this place is the main bar is always to crowded by the time you get a drink the night is over! They have a nice patio bar that is cash only! which is ok if the place had an ATM near by! In All honesty I will return cause it's a nice place just try to come check it after you have a couple of drinks somewhere else because it will be an ice age before you get through the slow bar service!
Great food! – I went to the VMC for the first time last night to celebrate my birthday with my friends. We had a great time. The food was sooo good! I had the ahi tuna tacos which were the best fish tacos I've had in quite a while. Another member of our party had the chicken enchilada with green tomatillo sauce that she was said was delicious. great times!! – Wanted to write in to say had such a fantastic time at this place. Owner can't remember her name pretty woman with long hair was so hospitable! and of course it was really cool to see all the actors from my favorite movie SWINGERS dining near us. Especially Vince Vaughn. I think it was his birthday. Wish I would of had the courage to say hi to him. O Well. Will definitely be back!!!
Funky Decor--Pretty Good Food – It definitely has a funky decor, but very appropriate to what you'd find in Hollywood anyway. Kind of dark inside but I guess that's feel of the place. Chips were awesome with their 3 dips! I think that was a meal in itself for me! Do not miss out on their special Enchilada with Green Tomatillo sauce! It was delicious! Nothing special...nothing terrible. – The ambiance is pretty cool, but that is about the oly thing that makes this place stand -out. The service was a bit on the tardy side...not sure if it was the cooks, waitress or poor management. It is pretty noisy in the restaurant area, so not exactly a romantic spot. They have a fair out door area...they should invest in a covering. Overall.....average.

IMPRESSED! – Really impressed with this place! Decor is absolutely fabulous! food very enjoyable with real rice & beans! Had some great drinks. Best one was the pomagranite margarita. Good looking crowd. Saw a few celebs which is always fun. Will go back.
expensive and not good margaritas – Great, if you like expensive uninteresting canned margarita. WOW, did i say expensive margarita? Food is below average, not a very good place. Ambience is fun, but get drunk before you go there as it's expensive.
GREAT!! – JUST HAD A TERRIFIC FRIDAY NIGHT AT THE VELVET CANTINA AND JUST WANTED TO SAY THANKS FOR HAVING MY WIFE AND I AT YOUR BEAUTIFUL ESTABLISHMENT. WE WERE TREATED WONDERFUL. DELICIOUS FOOD AND DRINKS. BEST OF LUCK TO ALL OF YOU AND THANKS FOR MAKING OUR NIGHT. (IT WAS OUR 14 YEAR ANIVERSARY!)
