Great Margaritas! – This is a great place to go and grab a drink. The service was friendly and the margaritas were great!
FOUR WESTSIDERS IMPRESSED!!! – It was my birthday weekend and I wanted to find a cool, hip place to go. I also wanted to kinda piss off my brother in law who is somewhat a creature of habit. great experience!! – Had great time last night and felt like I really needed to give some props to The Velvet Cantina. Came to a freinds Birthday. Had a blast! Actually planed to come in for dinner and ended up staying till 3am. Great food. Best chips and salsa I ever had. After eating ended up at bar area and drank some Margaritas. Amazing! Ice Margarita – previous reviewers had a much different experience. Staff very nice, but inept. Took forever to take drink order and it was early and not busy. Waitress kept threatening to bring chips and salsa, we had to beg in the end. The bartender said they didn't have cocktail napkins?! Food was good, not great but WAY over-priced. The ultimate insult were the drinks. Margarita was 95% ice. And for the price we would have liked more than 5 sips of drink. Can ya spare it? LOVING IT! – This place is GREAT. We were seated on time with a party of 9. The waitress was AWESOME and very attentive. The food was good, not the best but good enough. The atmosphere and drinks made everything worth while. MAKE A RESERVATION IF YOU WANT TO EAT.
Good Times – Friday the 9th of July my good friend and I went to have dinner at the VMC and we both agreed it was one of the best times we've had. The service was top of the line..........because of David (our all around cute waiter), and because the owner: Carlos came out to personally say hello and introduce himself. A much needed touch of Latino culture... – I had read about the once famous DJ at Gaslight (turned Opium Den) Big Daddy Carlos opening up a bar, so it was much to my delight to go and check it out. I loved it. The decor, the service was great and so were the chips and salsa. It was a holiday weekend so it wasn't very packed, but I had a great time. Hep place to be – Cruised into this restaurant tonight after having a lame night hittin the bars on the Cahuenga strip. Had no idea this cool spot was even here. Walked in and was pretty blown away with the decor and bar scene. Couldn't get a table, which was kind of a bummer but had a great time at the bar. Can't wait to come back and check the food out! It looked good.
