VCA Northwest Veterinary Specialists are so awesome. They have the best staff, & give you a complete tour of the facilities. They even allow 'visiting', if your baby has to stay over night. Or you can call to get an update, from their personal "nurse".
This was my 2nd time at VCA emergency....while it was not a great night, VCA made the whole situation bearable. The took such great care of my fur baby! They explained everything that was going on in great detail and made sure I understood what was going to happen. The after care instruction where given in a manner in which it was easy to understand. I will admit, the office was busy when we arrived and I got to watch the staff interact with several clients and they treated each family with great respect and care!
I called tonight to find out what dose of Codeine my dog was given today and, after holding for 23 minutes, got a lab tech who told me what he "thought" I should give. When I told him I wanted to know what they DID give my dog, he told me he didn't know. When I asked to speak to a doctor and complained that I'd already been holding an extreme amount of time, his response was "Then you can hold a little longer." In August our 1 year old German shorthair pointer was hit by a car, and for such a horrible accident EVERYONE at vca was more then amazing and truly compassionate. Bella Blue ended up losing her front leg. Our family was just amazed over how quickly she bonced back to her self, crazy and silly and does EVERYTHING she did before. I will post some viedos. I also have an older gsp and had to bring him in, again they are amazing. Thank you
Dr. Lozier made me feel as if my Porter is probably in the best possible hands for treating the conditions as we presently are. I have every confidence that this will be successful in the end and that my dog will enjoy a long and pain free life.
