I don't think a lot of people realize this is a HUGE hospital that takes in every walk of life no matter what..I've had good abs bad experiences with them. course this is years ago. They saved my daughters life as she somehow ended up with salmonella poisoning and they were amazing. I volunteered to help someone today by taking them to a doctor appointment at 10:30. She has a broken hip, shattered wrist, is partially deaf and 85% blind, can no longer drive and is on high concentration oxygen to breath. I can safely say it's clear as day why I HATE valley medical. I'm just leaving now and never finished what needed to be accomplished today for my friend. Where did bedside manners go? This place is horrible, the worst. I got hit by a car as I was crossing the street, landed on my head and broke two toes. Went to valley med, where they made me wait over 6 hours to be seen, didn't even check to see if I had a concussion or give my head X-rays. I kid you not while I was waiting one of the employees had to be put into a 5150 (psychiatric hold). These are the people who your life depends on. They also cost my father his leg. I do not like Valley Medical, they have very bad bed side manners, £ i feel they treat patients like cattle, or just a number. Not like human beigns we all are equal in this world, and if a person doesnt adjust to different personalities maybe they shouldnt have that type of job
36 years ago this hospital saved my son's life. Im from the east coast and was living in san jose. In 1979 my son was born at O'Connor hospital. The doctor there was getting married that week . my son had no intake or output. And they signed him out to go home. Well no sooner i gets home my son couldn't drink and was projectiling vomit. I brought him right back They told me it was because i had to breast feed Well that didn't work either. Then they told me he had meningitis. And treated him for that. My night before Christmas at Valley Medical Center. Why I'm now afraid to seek medical attention at Valley Med and the rude and abusive Urgent Care doctor that verbally attacked and mistreated me. If they deem a patient to be a danger to themselves, they will hold them for observation. The sad thing is that it I'm a real danger to myself if I do not seek medical attention and what do they do? By far one of the worst medical organizations in California. Any number you call will be an automated recording. Good luck reaching a human. If you are lucky enough to reach a human, the customer service will be subpar and down right terrible majority of the time. Not to mention they exposed hundreds of newborn babies to Tuberculosis (a DEADLY disease). They didn't start notifying families of this exposure until December when they learned of it in November. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GO TO ANOTHER MEDICAL ORGANIZATION!!!
