My son was there 4 months ago and it was the worst experience EVER!!
Well they did a great job in the beginning but I think sending a child home 6 hours after surgery and abdominal surgery at that is way to soon we had to bring him back and go threw the weighting room again and the pain that he was left in because the doc didn't send him any thing for pain home it was all ready a bad thing and being awake for 2 days and even tho they were nice and good to my baby boy the whole thing after was so unnessary so I would say please slow down with trying to throw the kids out take care of them a li... read more

My son has a heart defect that was undetectable until he was a week old. I was referred to Valley children's for an appointment with a pediatric cardio thorasic specialist. The first appointment we had I was very nervous. Our pediatrician talked about worst case scenario with us which was open heart surgury to correct the defect and I wasn't fond of that option for my newborn. My family is grateful that we have a children's hospital in our backyard. My son had trouble at birth and received top notch care in the NICU. Without those life saving measures my now almost 2 year old wouldn't be here. He's since had heart surgery and the PICU staff are wonderful especially Dr. Adam Holmes. Wyatt and fam had as wonderful an experience we could have for being in the hospital. We were in the PICU and regular pediatric floor, thank you all PCTs, Nurses, Doctors/Intensivists, for taking good care of our son. We appreciate the staffs efforts to be attentive to not only his but all of our needs as a family of four. Thank you!
