I find it very upsetting to learn that Pin Ups For Vets were denied a visit. As the daughter of a veteran who spent much time in a VA hospital, I can tell you first hand how much these visits mean. While he was there I'd often visit with his roomates while he slept. Since his passing I myself have joined a Pin-Up group and we visit our local VA hospital and I can't tell you how meaningful it is or how the joy radiates off these Vets during a visit. Shame on you! Saying that the men would cat call the women dressed in 1940s clothing? The vets would not do that. You’re just scared that the Vets would be happy to see these beautiful and amazing women with the pin-up for vets community. What is wrong with you? Shame on all of you!
San Diego VA needs to stop playing whatever social experiment game it is playing and start being more concerned about the moral of their vets. RecommendedI am disappointed that the Volunteer Service Office in San Diego seems to be a bit discriminating towards the Pin-Ups for Veterans Organization!! This organization and the ladies that represent as Ambassadors are extremely Classy and have huge hearts !! They honor and support the Vets!! My daughter is a combat Veteran who served in Iraq and is now an Ambassador for this supporting organization.. They are giving back to their own!!!!! Easy to get appointments and to get around
Unbelievable that the San Diego VA has denied Pin-Ups For Vets from visiting..These ladies are Veterans themselves. The Pin Up for Vets organization works to improve morale to hospitalized vets, send care packages to the deployed and support All Veterans- Male & Female. Please reconsider, the Denial of a morale boosting visit by these caring Ladies!
I am supposed to live in Louisiana and believe California is forward thinking. When you have employees that need to be extra special and push their ideals. Then allowed to proceed with pushing their ideals through formal manners. That is censorship of people. This organization classifies them as women and feels they need protection. Grow up, step up and send someone to the unemployment line. Then you can continue to provide care!
