Very unfortunately this terrible place is veterans only option. Complete indifference. Just a hundred buffer systems and people trained not to help. Attitude problems is a huge understatement. And if you lodge a complaint, they simply email the office that is at the source of the issue. If they they address the thing they denied or ignored in the first place, case closed. So essentially they don’t address a problem until it’s an official complaint

I was ALWAYS treated with absolute respect by every doctor, nurse and employees I visited. No one rushed me every one listened, the were attentive, and excellent. I felt like Family.

Had come in to the ER because I had extreme gout pain. The ER doctor dismissed it, said to take otc pain meds, and told me to see the VA podiatrist. No appointments available. I went to an out of town podiatrist and she confirmed it was gout and prescribed prescription medication. I was back to walking normally in less than 1-2 days versus 1-2 months when the went to the VA. The VA and the doctors are a complete joke. Positives about the VA is it's better than nothing.
Had heart surgery was in icu good nurses took care of me A1 good doctors and staff.

they don't care about the veterans they don't care how much pain you're in when you go in there they do absolutely nothing for several months even though you're in excruciating pain even though your bit stuck in a bed because you can't move the place sucks I recommend going anywhere else but this VA still no help been on the phone for at least two and a half hours and being on hold for two of those hours and they still can't do anything I've been dealing with this 4 months now they just don't care how much pain you're in
The San Diego Veterans Administration has provided myself with the best healthcare that I have ever received. Thank you to all of you for your great service here in San Diego Ca.
