The worst VA in the system....2 months wait and the cancellation day of appointment

Although the VA is having some Issues, and it depends who you ask as to what the Issues may be! But I have to say that the People who work at the VA are the best there are! Let's start with the lab, those people are so friendly and great to deal with! But if you watch their work load it's mind blowing how they do it!!!! Then there are the Nurses and Dr. they are all over whelmed with Patients! the average VA Dr. has over 1200 patients! I think there can be so many improvments at the VA, but the Staff are 10 Star out of 5!!!!... read more

The customer service is pretty good. I just don't get how I have a lab appointment at 8:20 am and I'm number 57. I don't get the point of making an appointment.

Seriously an 8.5 week wait to see the psychiatrist?! No wonder there is a 22 per day veteran suicide rate! Care is fragmented at best, not a medical home! I'm due to graduate FNP school in 4mo and am embarrassed by the lack of VA care in this city! my husband is a purple heart recipient and wounded warrior veteran, yet can't get appropriate care at the VA here! Love watching the employees park directly in the front on the west entrance when Veterans with disabilities have to park across the street. First rule in any business, don't park in the front if you work here.. hint

why is it im sick and call for an apt this morning for the Womens clinic and the phone girl tells me I can't make an apt and that a nurse has to call me first and now It's 430 that same day and no nurse has even called me to get me in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its so wrong that I can't tell them I'm sick and make an apt and have to wait god knows how long for a nurse to call me back to see if I"m appointment worthy. horrible
