Brian Hawkins, Medical Center Director and Dr. Fletcher, Chief of Staff, are totally unresponsive to Veteran's concerns. The ONLY thing they are concerned about is keeping their jobs while purposely ignoring problems. Hello, I recently moved back to DC from San Diego where I was being treated at the VA hospital there. I have called the main number on your website four times in the last 5-6 months (202-745-8000). I called once to register, once to make an appointment, once to cancel an appointment because of weather and today I called to reschedule. Every call was handled by agents who are rude, insensitive, have no manners and just flat out should not be dealing with the general public let alone Veterans. The Radiology front desk here is the worst. I base this on 4 separate visits. Showing up on time for a scheduled appointment always results in a loooooong wait. And if you expect a greeting or even understanding from the clerks when you ask about your appointment, you'll be very disappointed. They are too busy reading books, chatting about their personal lives or surfing the internet to be bothered by you.
