June 23rd my fiancé was life flighted to KU with electrical burns after an accident in the job. With 20 % of his body burned with 3rd degree burns to his lower body we spent a month in the burn unit. I can't express the gratitude for all the doctors and nursing staff for the excellent care we received. There wasn't one person that didn't ask us everyday if there was anything we needed. Er visit, hospital stay. Check into er, slow. Eventually in the room. Great service by the nurses and doctors. Really clean hospital. Drawback, is pay to park. Yes at a hospital. Get ticket endorsed, you get the 3 dollar fair otherwise 5 dollars. Guess it's what's needed to pay for there massive expansion.
Hands down.......in our lifetime, we have never had such outstanding medical care, professionally, personally, procedures, pre and post op. I could go on and on but it would all be repetitive. KU didn't get their awards and recognition for standard care, they are A+ all the way! Thank goodness KU is in our community, highly accessible; it is THE hospital.......why would you go anywhere else?
I would like to give a shout out to the nurses and aides on the 5th floor. Unit 53. I just want them to know how much I appreciate the excellent care I received from them you are wonderful thank you for everything Sincerely Constance Beckham
I was referred to Dr Mirza and I was diagnosed with kidney cancer. Most doctors kept putting me off because of my age and the odds of me getting cancer was very slim but he genuinely cares and explained the hole process along the way. It has been a month since my surgery and I have recovered great. Dr Mirza treats you like a patient and not just like a number. I would recommend him to anyone. Keep up the great work!
I like their prompt front desk. If they don't get to you right away something is wrong. A clerk who was busy told me to have a seat. So, I patiently sat and sat. I went to inquire with someone else. They was more efficient in their service. You find that some people are just their to make an appearance for their paycheck. But don't really want to work for it.
In er waiting. So far 3 hours and no one has left waiting area.
The worst parking ever and then they have the nerve to charge you to park to visit the patient
I want to thank all of the KU Medical staff, more importantly the folks over at the Marc A Asher Comprehensive Spine Center. Dr Sayed and his team were the best that anyone could ask for. Thanks again for the positive life changing experience.
