There are many things to like about KU Medical Center; it is centrally located, since it's a university hospital billing will work with patients (up to and including forgiving charges for those with no income), those same patients can obtain some medications free; knowledge, procedures, and medications are fresh in the minds of interns and doctors, so it seems to me that treatment goes faster/better. Very frightened regarding medical records with this facility. When I receive requested records, listed are conditions that I don't have (never stated I have during office visit). Its like information was given to a third party for input. Trying to get help from Patient Relations Dept. is of no help (you need to complete a form that can take up to 60 days). It took almost a month to retrieve MRI discs left for upload from prior visit. This is very frightening and a helpless feeling. Medical records are a vital part of patient... read more
