I love the University of Kansas I was born in 1964, had some great Doctor back then but the staff they have how don't listen to what we see and feel they are guessing and putting medicine in your body that you don't need, on top of that I had a nurse practitioner to tell she was not going to help me with my skin after she got words from the er on what to treat me for, but I moved to a new doctor's office. Attended my first discussion regarding a possible cochlear implant. I got in at my designated time and had testing done. They took time to explain the procedure and told me I qualified. Talked with the surgeon and got all the information and answers. The parking was easy to locate and get in and out. For such a large facility was impressed.
Arrived in time for my mother's 9:00 am surgery. At 1:20 they finally took her to pre-op. The following day I called to get her room number and she doesn't have a room, the hospital is busting at the seams. Everyone I encountered that works at the hospital was extremely nice and very helpful. I was given a voucher for lunch because of waiting for mom's surgery so long. I feel they give very good care, just very overwhelmed with a too heavy of a load.
I like that the specialist and Doctors spoke "with" me and not "to" me. Were genuinely interested in my opinion of what the problem with my health was before moving on with treatment. Parking in parking garages is much better than the large parking lots I've experienced at other large hospital complexes in the past.

The Hospital is ok but go through the emergency room is horrible the nurses treat you like your a piece of shit my son was in a car wreak he asked them to call his mom and Step dad they told him no and that pisses me off they took him into surgery without letting anybody in the family no what if he died I just don't understand why they didn't call me not a happy Mom
