I had a baby 11 days ago at 33 weeks gestation. He is a preemie and is still in the NICU. He is recieving the best care I could ever imagine! His team of nurses, residents, dietitians and the neonatologist are so easy to communicate with. They truly care about him and our family. I appreciate all of the help and support from lactaion, the social workers and the psychologust. I was well taken care of as well in labor and delivery and in the mother baby unit. I was referred to University of Kansas Medical Hospital because I have multiple sclerosis. The amount of time that was taken with me as a new patient was above and beyond. Dr. Yasir Jassam told me things about my disease that I had no idea about. He's even willing to oversee my neurologist so I can be treated closer to home. The pharmacist Mallory made sure that I left with all the information possible about new medication and gave me her card and told me if I needed anything to call her. My only complaint is they were so full we couldn't get a room. Ended up staying in the surgery unit in a very small room with no restroom or room for anything else.
The KUMC police will ticket for minor infractions. They are bored.
