This pharmacy is guilty of withholding treatment and delaying my medical care. About 4 times a year they deliver my medication late, sometimes up to a week or more, without notice. This past month they told me they would send out medication and never did. After I called a second time they admitted to this, and promised they would send out a new package. It never came. UHC misrepresents information before and after purchase. Prior to purchase I was directed to their provider site to see if mine were in network. Yes, they were. Upon trying to schedule my usual appointments, I was informed they had no contract with UHC. I spent 4 hours going between my providers who insist I'm not covered and UHC which insist I am. This insurance company is awful to communicate with regarding provider inquiries and claims assistance. They outsource all their calls to people who are not educated in the medical/billing field and are unable to assist anytime I call. I have been calling on incorrectly denied claims for over 8 months- sometimes once or twice a month, promised call backs that I never get, promised resolutions, that just turn into bigger problems. They need to do better.

From my personal experience, I can safely say that UHC is not worthy of a single star. My former employer had an FSA with them, which I opted into. Not only is their website poorly designed and provides a terrible user experience, but their customer service freely disseminates incorrect information without care for those who will ultimately be paying the bills. Horrible Horrible Horrible! Apparently, I had to use them for a specialty medication from my doctor. They call me back in early November and return their call. They stated they needed my authorization to send the medication to my doctor's office and that they had tried reaching the doctor's office with no success (I called BS right there as they always answer at the doctors office). I would not recommend United healthcare on several occasions I was spoken to very rudely by customers service reps....also since September I have been complaining and nothing I had a Dental rider added to my insurance at the time I didn't know that I just had 1000.00 dollars for the year until it was to late because I need to have surgery on my mouth and before I made the appointment I called and asked would I be covered and I was told yes but it wasn't until I got the bill that I found out that I wasn't funny how they claim... read more
Watch out when they contact you to transfer your prescriptions from your local Walgreens "to save you money" I advised the person that I talked to that two prescriptions I had on file were either no longer being used or I had plenty of product on hand. If I needed to fill one of them I would let them know. Lo and behold both of the prescriptions were refilled and delivered.
