Interesting concept treating a patients like criminals prior to being seen by a nurse. I see your having trouble breathing but let me 1st check you for a contraband without any empathy to your need to be here. The UMASS ED should not feel like a Worcester Court House even with increased security measures. Regain you humanity in dealing with sick people!!!!
Nobody answers phone calls!!! called the financial service 508-334-1840 to pay a bill but was on line for 30 minutes. total waste of time just o pay bill. called the financial counseling and was total he had no idea but suggested that I pay in person just so I can waste half a day plus parking!!
Unbelievable and unacceptable. My wife has pneumonia which has gotten worse. Today she went to urgent care who after seeing her, immediately sent her to the ER at UMass. After several hours they had to redo her vitals because it was so long since they took them last. After several more hours with still no estimate as to when they could see her, she decided to leave. I agree, over 9 hours in the ER when still no ETA is completely unacceptable. I hope for their sake she doesn't have issues tonight or lawyers will be involved.
The nurses at UMASS Belmont street are excellent! Thank you all for the excellent care. Nurse Dot - you had me in stitches before my operation. Dr. Bellin is the best.
I have been going to the hospitals Complete Pain Care unit for a couple of years. I broke my back and Dr Pearl has done a wonderful job getting my back to where I can have function and a great quality of life everyday. I can do everything I want to do because of the awesome care I receive there every time. I think Dr Pearl is the best and has compassion for her patients.
