In general, my experience with U-Haul was terrible.I initially called to book a 4X8 trailer for the purposed of moving my daughter to university residence. When I inquired about the warning on the website that reservations could not be guaranteed for my desired pick up location, I was advised that all trailer rentals have that warning and that a suitable replacement/location would be supplied should U-Haul not be able to fulfill my request.Two days prior to my pick up time I rec'd a phone call informing me that a 4x8 trail w... read more

Don't EVER book a truck rental with UHaul if you value your sanity. I'd give zero stars if I could. I booked a truck 6 weeks in advance for moving my son from our home in ****** to ******** for university. We made all of the arrangements for help with loading in the morning, and booked with his apartment building to reserve the service elevator for when we would arrive.Two days before the move, UHaul changed the time AND location of the rental. Horrible business. Booked weeks in advance only for them to text me one day before my scheduled date that the equipment was no longer available. This is a matter of moving out of an apartment and I absolutely canNOT change the date. Ridiculous lack of service and care. I will never go with this company again. Be warned.

Outraged is an understatement. Please make a concerted effort to not utilize this company, and here is why. U-Haul called me the morning of my truck pick up to tell me they are shortening my rental time... I'm slotted to pick up the truck at 6:45 PM...., they want it back 12:45 in the afternoon the next day.... 8 hours of that rental I will be sleeping and then work I can not miss in the morning. Giving UHaul a one star is too many, U Haul has the WORST customer service. Please do not rent anything from them. I reserved a trailer a month ago to move our son down south (12 hours away) got a text day before with location to pick ** in our local city. An hour after that text another text came with location changed to a city three hours north of us for pick up the next day which was not convenient as we were loading up the next day to drive 12 hours south to take our son to school. ********************* the manager at the ********** UHAUL by *********** in ******* ******** is lying to inflate profits. This location literally lied about damage to my rental under contract ********. Nothing was ever hit at all, I even purchased the protection on my contract, so if I did hit anything I would have called the police and reported like you're supposed to do. Order #******** I rented this vehicle in ******* **, moving to *******. I should have known that there would be a problem because an elderly man was in there upset about extra charges. I requested a four hour rental and the U-Haul agent informed me that since they are closing soon, I could return it the next day before 4pm at ANY LOCATION. I reserved a truck months ago for August ***************************************************************************************************************** is on 27th. We are moving to a different province and we have reserved movers who will help us load the truck here in ******** and in ****** **. We have also booked a hotel for the night of the 27th. I booked my truck rental 6 months in advance so I could get my pick up location. Instead they moved it the day before to the most difficult location for me to get to and to get the truck and then I have to drive thru traffic and construction. It's a nightmare of a location and they could do nothing to fix it. It was the only truck they could find. Very frustrating. Thanks for adding extra stress to an already stressful move.
