U-Haul nightmare ** Beware of U-Haul false reservation & promises**. I reserved a U-Haul car transporter from U-Haul website Nov. 13 2021. I traveled from South Carolina and was planning on picking up the car transporter on 11/27/21 from local U-Haul dealer in *************** (one way). I called the *********** dealer on 11/18/21 and they had 3 car hauler at their facility. U-Haul is a garbage company. Twice now I have had U-Haul make major changes to my reservation without my consent. The first time, they tried to change my return location to one 30 minutes farther away than the return location I selected when I made the booking. Now, I have pulled up to the location where I was to pick up my truck, only to get a notification from the app that I am in the wrong location because they changed my pickup location without even alerting me, let alone confirming I am ok with the change. Reserved a 4x8 days in advance, arrived and they only had a 5x8 trailer and the business was closed the next day so we had to take it or get nothing. Called Uhaul and they wanted us to drive over an hour each way to swap out the 5x8 for the 4x8. When I explained we did not have time to do that the day before we needed to leave town, the customer service person disconnected the call- hung up on me. All of the horrible reviews are accurate when dealing with their corporate team.

Rude and unprofessional. Waited 30 minutes for propane and was told to come back later she is busy with a customer. I'm a customer too

Very bad service when it comes to an accident. Warning: they charge you $150 deductible even if the other person is at fault! Then it's up to YOU to contact the other drivers insurance to get your $150 back!I rented a U-Haul truck supposedly for $19.95 plus $.69/mile X 76 miles = $54.44. So the charge should be $19.95 + $54.44 mileage + $16.37 tax + $1.00 environmental fee = $96.76. ACTUAL CHARGE was $249.76. So it's $96.76 + $150 + $3 mystery charge (no explanation for this extra $3). I talked to the manager and asked for a... read more

If I can give this Location a "Zero" Rating, I would! I have been utilizing Uhaul for all of my moving needs for as long as I could remember, but this last experience with this Uhaul was an eye opener that you get what you get for, and in this case is an inexperienced Management Team, and not the employees, but definitely the Manager on this particular day. I the u haul located at ********************************** I rented a box truck and had left my vehicle at the store. My vehicle was broken into and the workers didnt do anything to assist me. I called the headquarters ****************** They didnt do anything to fix my vehicle or anything of the things that was stolen. I have a police report and pictures which I sent to *******************************. I really need my vehicle fix I cant drive it.

This is the worst customer service representatives I've ever seen. I interacted with 7 different people who gave me 7 different explanations for not reserving a vehicle that they promised. Then they had me driving back and forth to the office ensuring to me that all has been corrected. This NEVER happened. Their sorry attitudes were nauseating and caused me to not be able to spend Thanksgiving with my family. I will NEVER use U-Haul moving for anything anymore.
