I made a reservation online for piclup truck for 2 days. Received confirmation email and everything. Despite that, the store tells me they dont do overnight rentals for pick up trucks and refuses to honor my confirmed reservation. Is that even legal? I mean whats the point of a confirmation email if its not actually confirming anything? Completely messed up my plans. If you don't want to rent overnight, that's fine, then fix your **** website. Its not that hard.

U-Haul FAILED to pick up my **Box on the reserved date. The confirmation links in the emails U-Haul's system sent me all went to Error pages so I couldn't see or make any changes. I tried calling and spoke with 4 different representatives all told me different things (the driver left early, the driver had a personal day, the system doesn't show your pick up reservation, etc.) No one seemed to be able to make changes to my order at the time, so the **Box that was set to be picked up on 2/5 is still sitting there the street fo... read more

Would give them 0 stars if I could. Rented a 26 truck from ***********, ************ to ******* round trip, ***** mile trip to pickup a dirty and smelly truck with food in between the seats, coffee spilled on the floor and cookies. Had to sweep out the back of the UHaul truck before loading it. Had sand and cigarette butts on the floor and to top it off the windshield wiper fluid didnt work ***** mile trip there. I rented a trailer from a location in Kingsman AZ. I pointed out damage and was told all equipment is checked at processing, the trailer is fine. That very next day the tire was flat and I was stuck in the freezing mountains of ******** during a storm because of it. Uhaul then informed me it was my fault because i had not purchased their additional insurance, I was stuck for days. I had to pay out of pocket for a private tow. This experience made me lose all faith in this company. I will never use or recommend uhaul again.

In November 2021, I was scheduled to rent a truck and tow bar for pick up in *******, ** for a one way trip to *******. Received a call to pick up truck in ********* and the tow bar in *********. Do you own a map? I had to get a friend to drop me off in *********, drive to Long Island City to the storage unit to load truck than back to ********* to pick up the tow bar and load the car. Incredibly unreliable. Promised me a car hauler right up to the day of my move then called me and told me they didn't have any available. I couldn't find any alternatives on that short of notice and had to sell my vehicle at a big loss. Never use this bunch of knuckleheads again.

Uhaul provided me with their site of movers through movinghelp.com. They insisted they were legitimate companies and ensured nothing but a positive experience. We hired movers that stole a jar of money my kids saved for 6 years for a big family vacation. This jar contained over $5,000. Uhaul will not help and tell me its not their problem. I now have to tell my kids that their money they saved for years has been stolen. My mother is renting a truck from this sorry excuse of a business. On two occasions, she asked to use my card to pay for an extension on the truck. We were both present on the phone, I authorized those TWO one time charges. Never gave my name, because they were supposed to just be one time charges. This is such a piss-poor company and its sad to say but it is the truth. I scheduled a rental with them and first of all, the rental was very difficult to locate and did not provide any clear instructions on where to find the vehicle. I had to contact U-hauls customer service and explain to them the issue with finding the truck. Secondly, the rental came with a disc-padlock that wouldnt unlock the back of the U-haul where we had our belongings. At first, they tried to charge me $175.00 just to have someone come out.
