Gorgeous Spot - Above Average Food – We loved the room - soaring ceiliengs, gas lights, huge crimson Japanese lanterns, the open kitchen - all amazing. The food was good, but not the best we've had. Stick to the appetizers and the wonderful wines and drinks. The wait staff were so nice and accomodating. Overall a great date place and the food is fine although not stellar.

Bad reviews are WRONG-THIS IS A HOT SPOT! – This is the perfect place to go for fun, live blues and food and libation sampling. If you want a quiet dinner, go to Joel. If you are uptight, stuffy, impatient, or want to be fawned over, Two Urban Licks is not for you. Try The Ritz Carlton Dining Room. So, if you are open to a great time, start with an infused cocktail in the suave zen garden. I have to say that the small plates outshine the bigger ones. Sample great starters: the stack, fried green tomatoes, crab and avocado, a... read more

Didn't live up to the hype...sorry – Reservations meant nothing. Prime rib was ordered as rare, served well done, which is horrifying. They refused to cook prime rib properly and I had to wait to eat and order the tuna which was mediocre. I watched my friends finish their meals at a b/day party. It was a bad scene. I seriously doubt I'll be back.

Pure chaos. – Chaos. This is the one word to describe Two. First, the hostess station is placed by the entrance to the kitchen which is also placed next to the myriad of restrooms which all seemed to be out of order. Women were lined 15 deep to use a single restroom. The waitstaff tripped over people who were waiting the 2 hours to get a table. My reservation was set for 9:30. Was seated sometime after 10:15. Drink order went in around 10:30, entrees ordered at 10:50 and the bread finally arrived after the appetizers hit the... read more

We won't be back – Be prepared to wait at least an hour to be seated, even if you have a reservation. We have been here 3 times and the service has consistantly been horrible. This restaurant is not worth the trouble.

TWO – SUch a fun restaurant. The jazz is great and the environment is fantastic. Our oysters and rocket salad were phenomenal. However, our entrees were not. The pork shoulder was too salty and the macoroni and cheese was basically "easy mac." The tuna came out cold with frozen tomatoes and in a terribly shaped dish. OUr waiter was fabulous, but the food runners were messing things up all night. Would recommend for a fun night out, but only if you have plenty of time, patience, and an unpicky palate. I'll return.

Who knows – I tried to eat here. I took a friend on a Wednesday night for an 8:00 reservation booked two weeks ahead. We waited until past 9 to be seated in a very crowded bar full of other unfortunate and hungry diners. Nobody ever acknowledged our problem or offered any attempt to sooth the situation. When we left, the host thanked us and told us to enjoy the rest of our evening. I just laughed and shook my head.

Like a NYC posh scene – My boyfriend and I went last Thursday night around 10pm. Even though it was packed, they were able to seat us immediately. The service was very friendly, and the restaurant scene looked like a place the women from Sex and the City would want to be seen. It was fantastic. For an appetizer, we had a delicious fresh combination of salmon and tuna with chips in addition to bread filled with melted butter that was to die for. I had the roasted duck for my meal and my boyfriend had the prime rib. They were ... read more

Can't survive on looks alone – My experience at Two last night was pretty unsatisfactory, about 35% successful. That included food problems and MANY service problems (we had to find our own napkins, asked for bread 7 times) I'm now hearing this is in line with their reputation. When we expressed that things had "missed the mark" we were reprimanded by the manager, that essentially our bad experience was our fault for not speaking up. Too many things had gone wrong at that point. It's a shame. You can't survive on looks alone... read more
