Don't go for the food... – ...go for the views. Both the views of the city and of the scene are great. The food and service are terrible. Have tried it twice and both times was tremendously disappointed. Reservations were late, appetizers came out after the main course and drinks were poorly mixed. Noise level was so loud that you couldn't hear anyone at the other side of the table. There are plenty of restaurants with great food and service - save this place for people watching.
Good food, service, and experience. – Went on a Saturday night at 9 PM, seated about 9:15 (cool bar and specialty drinks too). Great view overlooking the city from the bar and our table. Highly recommend the crab fritters and the scallops (probably the best I've ever had). Great food at a great price with service to match! Next time in Atlanta, I'll be stopping in again.
Go there! – Was there for a business dinner - the waiter was friendly and had good knowledge about everything on the menu. All courses were at a high standard - innovative & great taste. I tried the tuna tartarte - very tasty and for entre their fish special - again, well prepared and great flavors. All my companions enjoyed their meals as well. The atmosphere & ambiance in the restaurant is really good. A little bit hard to find for non-locals but worth it.
If Night Clubs Served Food – Go to have fun and you wont be disappointed. Go to enjoy a quiet meal, and you wont know what hit you. Two Urban Licks is a wild mix of Night Club decor anchored in the middle by an open kitchen. Good loud music, good-looking loud people is what this place is all about. The food is excellent. Not the best in town, but pretty good – We had a reservation for a Tuesday night at 7:00 and were seated promptly in one of the nice booths with all the comfy pillows. The decor was hip & trendy. It was pretty dark in some places in the dining room. The candles didn't put out much light, and I'm sure some people had a hard time seeing their food. What a Surprise – Having read reviews, I was skeptical. However, other than a slightly snooty and somewhat inattentive waiter, we had a fantastic experience. We were promptly seated at prime time on a Friday, and when we didn't like ourtable placement, the hostess courteously moved us. Of the appetizers, the oysters were the best. MANIC & CHAOTIC! – Recently I tried to eat here again, I say tried as I took a friend for an 8pm reservation which was booked in advance; we waited PAST 9pm in an over-crowded bar full of other unfortunate/hungry diners. Wait staff were busy, it was like we were in their way. I opted for a white wine, BIG mistake. Great food in an innovative setting – Being a married 40 year old father of two from the burbs I had my suspicions about Two: Urban Licks being a "see and be seen" flash in the pan that is the hot place du jour. After my experience I would change my synopsis to "see and be seen but not pretentious, inovative design, excellent food, and great service."
